Beloved author Lauraine Snelling returns again to her popular Red River Valley setting. Joshua Landsverk left Blessing two years ago, but he's never forgotten Astrid. Returning to town, he seeks to court her, and love begins to bloom. When the opportunity opens for Astrid to go to Chicago for further training, she finds it difficult to leave home and Joshua. They agree to correspond, but after receiving only one letter from him, she learns he's left town again. Believing Joshua no longer loves her, Astrid makes an impetuous, heart-wrenching decision. Will she regret the choice she's made?

This is hard to review ,Because this book leave sDr, Astrid Borklsnd questioning what God wills ,and trusting and following His will .Which even though she has said she plans to
train,medical missionary ,i,in Africa.nstead of retirning to her,home, and helping on Sioux reservation .(Which her medical colleague might be her Africa) s well as helping with. future "Blessing Hospital ,Possably reunite,with Joshua ,that is if he returns .,Does Astrid know God's wil air not .If she does can she accept it.

The reader did a great job. I loved this ongoing story and can’t wait to find out what happens next.

This was a real disappointment. Although the narrator did fine, she obviously never listened to any of the multiple previous recordings of the series...and that can be demonstrated by the fact of the mispronunciation of major characters names and places.

At times it became so noticeable that I could not enjoy the story. If your a series reader...you will quickly notice these glaring mistakes.
