But even lacking that, Lucy's character is hard to root for. Her delightful good humored boldness in other stories isnt really on disply here. The fine line between obstinate independence & tantrum-throwing witch is a tiny thread that gets crossed a few too many times & makes her seems childishly stupid - not worthy of the hero. Sadly.
