A Lady Hoyden's Secret

I love lady X she brings such a great mystery to this series (or at least to the ton). Lady Helena is determined if she can't have the only many who has her interest then she will remain single. She only must make it to her 30th birthday to receive her inheritance. But she has a few year more to go when Lord Oliver Hunt sets his sights on her. The story is a fun easy listen. Price Waldman is easy to listen to but his mispronunciation of key words for this time period drives me a bit crazy.

Lady X Helps the Hero Be His Best Self

This is a thoroughly enjoyable Regency romance. Though written before the Bridgerton Netflix craze, the heroine is a secret gossip columnist in the vein of Lady Whistledown. One of her frequent targets is the hero, whom we meet in a somewhat disastrous scene that has a ripple effect over his life for the next several years. I very much enjoyed listening to their romantic dance. He slighted and maltreated the heroine in that dance, yet years later, he cannot seem to look away from a woman most people ignore. They are actually surprisingly well matched—once they get beyond their differences and he grows up a little, with some nudges from her column about his infamous exploits. I don't know if I would actually call her a hoyden, as the title states, though. And her plan for the future isn't quite as well thought out as it should have been. But if you take the story for what it is—a little Regency lark—it's a fun, quick listen.

how does she hear it all

I love this story. The sneakyness of Lady X is fun. I kept waiting for her to get caught. The narration of this story was pretty good.

Short and oh so sweet

This is becoming a delightful series, it is filled with lovely characters, love the plot and the romance. I really enjoy a story about strong woman and men and their con flex . Ms. Brower knows how to really match her characters giving you a highly entertaining listen. I love the sparring between and how they were put at each other at every turn. I love how the lady got her revenge. It was truly a fun listen that had me chuckling from time to time

The narrator did a great job, but as in the last book there is one place he was out of character but it is hardly noticeable. He has a very pleasant voice and gives true emotion to the characters. There are no background noises, no repeating of words, no volume changes.His character voices both male and female are very nice and blend well with the character.

I really enjoyed this book and can't for more in this series.

Excellent!!!

My favorite historical romance books to read or mail order bride stories. When I got this one for free it sounded OK, but The more I read it the more I realized I loved it. It was so good! I now cannot wait to read more books by dawn Brower she is historically correct which is a pet peeve of mine and she makes the women independent for their time not like 21st-century women. This book was awesome I loved it!

This was the perfect length for a romance book!

I enjoyed this story. It did not have a bunch of filler or another person / persons trying to steal one of the lovebirds. Perfect length and very well written. Narrator did great!

Lady X's secrets

Regency Romances have always appealed to me. Dawn Brower has an engaging style of writing humor and great imagery into her books. The storyline was fun and realistic. The characters were endearing. I thought the narration was very well done. Price Waldman is a new to me narrator and did perform the book great. I would definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

Really enjoyed the story line and the mysterious Lady X. Story flowed nicely did not have slow spots and kept you interested for the entire story. A great listen. Narrator did awesome job. Can’t wait to listen the next audiobook in the series
