Meh

The first story was a little better than the second, but not great. It’s a little…cliche? A little too wordy. There’s a lot of decent characters, but none are that interesting. The narrator is flat. Just not great and I got bored fast.

well put together. the story flowed nicely. stayed on point.

well worked story plot. characters and scenes complimented each other. chapter length and structure moved the story along

The narrator ruined it for me . Couldn’t finish

The narrator reads like a monotone newscast with a hoarse voice . Horrible ! Couldn’t even finish but the story plot was good . Too bad I couldn’t finish

Immediately engaging

I couldn’t finish this book fast enough, immediately started the next book in the series!

Great series

Oh, I love the suspense and thriller moments. These are very good books worth reading.

pretty difficult to get through

The stories were fine, but I just had a hard time getting past two things.
1. I get it, Kate Wise is a 55yr old retired agent who is tough...I don't need to be reminded every other minute. overkill.
2. The narrator...who talks like this? Just so flat & odd emphasis/phrasing. And every character, while she tries to change the tone of her voice...they all have her same bizzare robotic way of speaking. It's really aggrivating.
