This book will have you recognize the concepts in the algorithm on YouTube that will benefit your company, your personal brand, and whoever interacts with you! I personally spoke to the Author a couple years back, not about the book, but on the concepts that are taught in the book. I can guarantee you. He is consistent and has a track record of proven success!

Finally, A comprehensive understanding of YouTube

As the author points out, I've been doing it all wrong. I have been trying every tip and trick on the internet to try to figure out YouTube, how it works and how to get it to work for me. Until now, I've just been frustrated. This book finally makes sense of the process and works around the continuously changing algorithms.
Bottom line, it takes some work and a little time to get results but it's easier than I thought now that I understand what to do.

A Great Approach to Being an Infuencer!

Nate book is a must read for the right fit. And fortunately, he does a great job explaining who the right fit IS. If you are looking to build a steady impact and make a difference in the world with your message, then you can't get any better with Nate who has a proven track record.
The WAY Nate reached out to me on LinkedIn (a person with no followers and few connections at the time) by taking the time to do a short video reviewing my website, points to his passion, patience and persistence. His book is chock full of great pointers, tips and advice and he wastes no time delivering them. This book is worth every penny for the right person!

Best book on the the subject.

For current and future YouTubers, this is the best book out there. How do I know? I've read the others. There is zero fluff in this book, Nate Woodbury gets right into his formula from the start. His method is exceptionally well-explained, making it easy for even absolute beginners to apply immediately.

Nate emphasizes a "quality over quantity" approach to building subscribers. Many content creators make the mistake of building a vast audience of "fly-by-night" fickle fans, which is as unsatisfying as it is difficult to maintain. I've interviewed entrepreneurs caught in this trap. Create content that answers questions people are asking is integral to his process. Our own book Scintilla (available here on Audible/Amazon) also discusses the power of keywords, search queries, and trends. We'd considered adopting that for our YouTube channel but didn't how important it is until Nate explained it in his guide,

While he still makes classic but valid recommendations such as the importance of thumbnails, his overall strategy is different. He doesn’t over-promise, instead laying out a clear long-term growth strategy that spans from week two to year two. The "Leaf" strategy outlined in the book provides a straightforward path to channel growth. Business owners looking to showcase their expertise in a particular niche will definitely want to put this concept into action.

The content creation advice is logical and manageable, even for busy professionals. While deciding whether to buy this book, I was already familiar with how great Nate’s YouTube channels are. What I didn’t realize until reading this was the sheer number of other channels he has helped grow through his consulting. He works with seven-figure entrepreneurs regularly, making this book an absolute bargain.

I'm Well Versed On YouTube But Still Learned a Lot

I'm not new to YouTube at all. I have over 100,000,000 views on one of my channels and have been doing this for 12 years. I attend multiple conferences about YouTube each year, read books and pay to be in YouTube courses and groups. The information Nate presents here is not only well put together but also novel. As someone who has switched from a heavily search-based channel to more suggested, Nate shed a whole new light on the opportunities available within the search side of YouTube. It has me rethinking some of my strategies both for my main channel and for my 2nd and 3rd channels as well. His approach is, in many ways, the opposite of what is preached and taught elsewhere, but it makes perfect sense and he provides numerous examples of the success you can have with it.

I would definitely recommend this book for anyone just getting started on YouTube as well as more seasoned YouTubers.

Gold Nuggets of Information!

You know the story about the farmer who always wanted to be rich and sells his farm to go explore the world? You know the part about the guy he sold it to, and how he picked up some large rocks in his field, washed them off, realized they were massive diamonds, and became uber rich?
Well, this book is kinda like that. The author tells you the boring - at first! - story of working WITH the algorithm, being patient, and actually doing the work to achieve a goal on YouTube.
Its not about being an influencer, it's about influencing your particular corner of the world.
No tricks, no shortcuts, just the exact FREAKING steps to
make YouTube work for you if you have something to share with the world.

Cracking the YouTube Code

If you're serious about growing your YouTube channel, this book is a game-changer. Nate emphasizes that YouTube success is not about being an influencer, but about using the platform to influence your particular corner of the world.

If you're looking for a quick hack to gain fake followers, then don't even waste your time or money. But if you have some time to invest, Nate will show you the steps to make YouTube work for you.

Note: The one drawback for me was, there were several references to review examples in the book. If the examples could be included with the audiobook (PDF or website), then I would update my review to 5 stars overall.

What I really appreciate about Nate‘s book is how he breaks everything down with step-by-step instructions. I feel well equipped to jump right into creating a successful YouTube channel. What I also appreciate is how he’s very explicit, that this process is not for everyone. When using his strategy, it’s about lead generation. I would also recommend, that you buy the physical book to accompany the audible version. Because there are some diagrams and texts, that you definitely want to see. Overall, Nate has created an incredible resource guide for building the YouTube channel of your dreams.
