Linda Castillo always hooks my attention from the very start of her books and doesn’t let go till the last word.
I love her writing style as well as learning so much about the Amish culture. She never fails to leave me wanting more after finishing each (audio)book, this one included.
I must also mention the narrator, Kathleen McInerney...how this woman can change her voice, male or female, and allow listeners to easily differentiate who each character is utterly amazes me! She’s one of the best narrators out there!!

Another great listen

I wish I could give the narrator more stars. She makes Kate Burkholder real for me. The plot of this one was pretty intense and makes me wonder what the Amish would think of this story.

This whole series is a fav! Luckily for us all a wonderful voice was chosen to read it to us so enjoy and make sure to read/listen to every one!

Another great story

I loved this book. My only complaint is that there is too long of a gap between Books.

Another great mystery

Linda is so good at keeping you guessing right up until you get clobbered by truth. She did it again. Every time Kate is in trouble it feels like I’m right there in trouble with her. The performance as always is next level on the narration. Great work all around. Well worth a credit. Can’t wait for the next one.

This book keeps your interest right up to the last minute It keeps you guessing and the reader is very good. You are also are educated regarding the habits of the Armish.

I love stories of crime & love

What a great continuation of the Story of Kate Burholder how are the details of her life come up in her work as a police officer. Keep the series coming.

NEVER would have guessed it!

I've never followed a series this long before and I recently bought more with my credits! I love author and narrator! How narrator can have so many characters with different voices is AMAZING!
