The AI is monotone and adds no authenticity. I would have rather read the book myself.

I did not like the AI narrators as well as a real narrator. I will return the book.

cute romance

this was a cute romantic story. it probably could have had a little more steamer parts but it was still great!

No book should ever be done AI.

The AI narrative is the worst!! Book would have been great except for that. There’s no feelings emitting for the characters, no sense of being in the book feeling part of it the way a book should be felt. No reflections in tone of voice. First and last AI book I’ll listen to.

Okay story

I liked the story but feel like it was too short. I love the ending and how it all worked out for all the characters.

Nice man on man story, in the good sense

I'm so glad some of these buried titles are being put into audio files because they're good stories. There's even boxing and some realistic man on man stuff in this one. Very slow burn, not something I relate to personally well, but I know whole generations who do and would seek such stories out.

It's a shame that with the early version of unedited virtual voice (for rhythm) that all the sentences have the same rhythm--not very boxing like, it makes it hard to listen to after a while (variety is the spice of life), but the story is good and unique to what I've heard or read before--and I do love a good foodie book. There's an interesting blend of purple prose and hard terms in sex scenes that's a bit different. I think it may have been intentional by the author, perhaps even experimental.

Rated the performance over the story

This started out pretty good, even with the vv saying “start up” like “starT. Up” like a hundred times. The resolution of this book went way wrong. It was ridiculous. Add to that the pov is sometimes omnipotent and this was just ugh.
