Acerca de esta escucha
Four people driven by their passions, struggle for love and money in an untrustworthy world. A veteran cartel hitman, Curtis, and his sworn enemy, Tom, must team up to find two 20-year-olds, David and his girlfriend Aubrey, who ran off with the cartel’s cash.
During the relentless pursuit from Kentucky to Mazatlán and Southern California, David is thrust into a perilous game of cat and mouse. With time running out and the stakes skyrocketing, the four of them must navigate a labyrinth of lies, tracking down elusive clues that mean the difference between life and death – and millions of dollars.
Every second brims with tension as all four players battle, not only with one another, but also their own self-doubts and demons. As secrets unravel and alliances shift, they question everything they thought they knew.
A Cluster of Schemers is a masterful blend of suspense and action, where every twist and turn keeps listeners on the edge of their seats, racing headlong towards a tense, life-affirming conclusion.

An emotional powerhouse
It has non-stop action as you get to know the people. Then the reader worries about them, and roots for them, and dread their fates. The bittersweet ending is life-affirming.
I’ll re-read this one soon.
