Bittersweet and Luminous
Another example of discovering the true meaning of Christmas in unexpected and heartbreaking ways. Not sentimental or maudlin. The “happy ending” if you can call it that is untraditional—it’s moral, not material. Hallmark would have a hard time making it into a movie lol.

This book makes you want to strive to be a better person
This was a wonderful story of family and honor and of doing what’s right. It was an interesting mystery and well constructed. I do recommend it whole heartedly.
