SAD AND REALISTIC

I enjoyed this book but was sad in parts. The realistic struggles presented in the book touch what life can bring to our front doors.

Psychological twist

I really enjoyed this suspenseful, psychological thriller. The narrator was great and the story kept me interested and on the edge of my seat. I did have the story figured out pretty quick, but it was still suspenseful and the main characters journey to figuring out the night of the crash was exciting.

Sad, but gripping

I enjoyed listening to this book. The ending was sad but understandable after all the events that had occurred. It definitely leads you into the mind of a psychopath.

Written so realistically, you will feel every emotion to your core. Kaufman’s execution of events and the depth of the characters are both riveting. Now in the Audible Plus catalog.

Loved it!!

This was one I could not stop listening to. Its done so well. The narration, story development and ending is, well, you’ll have to judge that for yourself. I highly recommend spending a credit on this one!!

Thriller! Exciting!

This is the firs audio I've have heard from this author, and after finishing A Broken Reality, it WON'T be my last. This thriller is set in and around Boston, Massachusetts and is about 4 close friends dealing with the mystery and heartache when one of their children goes missing. This one has you guessing the outcome right up to the very end!

When a psychological thriller does more than just keep you on the edge of your seat and it moves you emotionally, then that's a good book! Rob Kaufman's "A Broken Reality" IS that book. The son of one couple is the godson to the other couple, so bottom line is, these people are like family. The devastation that occurs joins these two families in a way that no one should endure and yet here we are. Kaufman has placed us dead center in this drama that is at once horrible, hopeful, calculating and twisted.

I absolutely loved this audio and the way Kaufman kept us going. One minute we're sad and shocked about what happened and the next minute we're bewildered and emotionally drained because of what's about to happen. The ending was a guessing game and yet it came suddenly - leaving the reader to figure out on their own just what the broken reality really is - and when you figure that out, you'll never believe the journey you took really just happened. This book will stick with you long after you read the final word.

Heartbreaking and unrelenting

For me, this was not what I was expecting. It was hard and depressing, so be ready if you order this one. I wish I had spent my money elsewhere. The women yell too much and the men are in a confused daze. No relief.

The author takes your hand and guides you on an intimate tour of the inner psyche and perspective of everyone touched by the events in this psychological thriller. Excellent story telling.

Wow! I was not expecting that!

This story was an emotional and psychological roller coaster.There were so many twists and turns that once you thought you knew how it would end, BOOM! You get thrown a curveball. Some of the scenes were hard to listen to and could be triggering, but all in all, the story was done well and kept you in the edge of your seat.
