寇白门，又名湄，字白门，是明末清初的“秦淮八艳”之一。板桥杂记曰：“白门娟娟静美；跌宕风流，能度曲，善画兰，相知拈韵，能吟诗，然滑易不能竟学”，正是由于白门为人单纯不圆滑，而决定了她在婚恋上的悲剧。若不是她这单纯耿直的个性，又怎么会吃了爱情的亏。无奈最信任的人背叛了她，最终她也顶不住岁地得侵蚀，垂垂老去。
