Just Read The Book....

The story held my interest as the first two installments did. Patterson is one of my favorite authors and this book did not disappoint.

However, the "sound effects" and over used music were extremely annoying. Through one entire chapter there is a ticking clock that all but over powers the reader! Explosions here and there etc...

Patterson is able to create suspense and paint the scene with his words. This book did not need any help from an over zealous audio producer. Please just read the books and spare us the extras.

I highly recommend reading this book as opposed to listening to the audio version.

Music wasn't necessary

What did you like best about 3rd Degree? What did you like least?

I didn't care for the music and sound effects used. Carolyn McCormick is a wonderful reader, the music was distracting and felt a little degrading.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The story was action packed and there were a lot of things going on and the story intertwined the characters well.

How could the performance have been better?

Without the music and the secondary voice when reading the letters from the terrorists.

Was 3rd Degree worth the listening time?

Overall, yes.

Good but not my favorite

I've been working one book at a time through this series. This book was a dud for me. The performance with all of the music was kind of cheesy. It kept my attention but it def was not as good as the first two. However, if you plan on completing the series you def cannot skip this one.

Distracting effects

Would you listen to 3rd Degree again? Why?

Maybe, The music and sound effects were very distracting to me. I would have enjoyed the performance more if it would have been just a narrator.

Did Carolyn McCormick do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

It was difficult to tell the difference between characters during conversations between Clair, Lindsay and Cindy. Also, Jill either does or does not have a southern accent... the in between accent is confusing.

great book!

This one was my favorite- you have to read the first two to get the full impact of what happens in this book... I run while listening to my audio books, and I actually was so wrapped up at one point, I had to stop running, I was in tears! Great book!

Loved it

Thoroughly enjoying the Women's Murder Club series. Can't wait to hear the rest. And I love the new musical format.

Great book, Horrible musical production

Music for dramatization was horrible. Please don’t ever do that again!! 10 on the cringe worthy scale

Another great story!

I have been enjoying the women’s user club series. I really like James Patterson. I’m looking forward to the next book! After the first two books, I had a hard time getting use to the new voice reading the book. Not sure what I think of the sound affects either.

Interesting Plot

I listened to this book in one day.
The plot was engaging and I always enjoy the characters.
I’m not good at writing reviews because I’m too afraid of giving the story away.
It’s written intelligently and keeps you involved from the beginning.

Awesome as usual. A good story always keeps you interested and wanting more, and so far these books have done just that.
