whole new take

This was a new take on the apocalypse. It rides at your heartstrings all the way through. This was a heartwarming book

the story is an incredible blend of of being compelling and showing the very Human Side of people and their struggles.

Great Listen!

I really enjoyed this book. I've listened to other books by this author and have been pleased every time. I loved the characters and the "feel good" vibe of the book. Most post apocalyptic books are too gory now days and I'm so over it. This book was refreshing in that aspect. The narrator did a great job.

A breath of fresh air

I cannot express how much I enjoyed this tale of redemption and healing. Beautifully done

Better than the movie

Great book...Armageddon the movie without the spaceships. The story of survival and community was spot on. My first book from this author...looking forward to more.

great disaster story without all of the violence to common to post apocalyptic fiction

I liked the humans being humans, but not all being crazy psychopaths. Drama, but not a trip to He'll.

interesting story

This was a good book. It started out slow snd did not really pick up but it was good anyway. Surprisingly it is a stand alone book and not a part of a series. But it would be and great way to start a series.

Enjoyed the story

Really enjoyed this end time story. Good clean story. The characters were really enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.

didn't like it

I didn't like it.
There was no reason given at the beginning of the story for us to actually like the main character.
Therefore it was an arduous journey for the reader to have to trudge through the entire book (that dealt with transportation problems more than anything else). If this is supposed to be a tale about redemption and repentance, then it gives us a reason to actually care about the main character from the offset.

The second letdown was that I thought the book was supposed to be about a nuclear war, not an asteroid storm hitting the Earth.

What a letdown. I'm glad it was short because I would have had trouble enduring it if it had been longer. The only part I enjoyed was the roof collapsing in on the people. At least about 4 sentences of the story were remotely interesting.
And “300 days” of what?…whatever happened to what the title of the book was about in the first place? Great…stay inside for 300 days because it’s cold out?….what a “thrill ride”.
Man, these positive reviews seem very very suspicious.
