I liked the ability of this audiobook to challenge your assumptions and make you wonder about the world in a new way. The stories are nicely curated to be both informative and entertaining, making it great for anyone who loves fascinating facts and quirky stories.

Great for the Family!

This book is about four hours long and contains 100 stories, each lasting about two to three minutes. So it's great if you have kids, and it also makes great conversation starters! You probably won't run out of material with this audiobook to research these mysteries in depth on the Internet.

Not everything I hoped it would be

I really wanted to give this a five-star review but a lot of the 100 do not live up to the "mind-blowing" title. The Hope Diamond for example is very ho-hum when it comes to mysterious earthy phenomena. How about the uncorrupted bodies of certain saints? Miracles you can visit that have been studied extensively by very skeptical scientists. Just kind feels like this was phoned in.

The good kind of weird

This was perfect for playing in the car with my nephew. Short, fun stories. And it led to a ton of great conversation. Excellent narrator too.

This is so well done. Wow, story after story. I had heard a few before, but I got excited when I knew something, AND it was fun hearing it told in a different way and I learned interesting details. These stories are back to back and told so well and efficiently that I was on the edge of my seat!!

So many interesting stories

This book is filled with interesting stories and mysteries. If you’re into mysteries like I am you’ll really enjoy this one. Each story is straight to the point and doesn’t try to push any outlandish theories on you. My favorite one was about the ship that was mysteriously abandoned.

I was especially fascinated by the Dancing Plague of 1518—the idea of people dancing uncontrollably to their deaths is just mind-boggling. The Flannan Isles Lighthouse disappearance was equally eerie, imagining how three experienced keepers—James Ducat, Thomas Marshall, and Donald McArthur—vanished without a trace. And the Dyatlov Pass Incident left me completely unsettled—the fate of those hikers remains one of the most chilling unsolved mysteries ever.
