Can a great quote inspire you to take action?
Do quotes from great people remind you that there is often a better way?
If your answer to these questions is Yes, then doing this ONE THING every day will start you off positively...
You're a good person, who wants to do the right thing in life.
But life can be hard, and often complicated.
So sometimes it's not always easy to know what to do next.
And sometimes we need validation for the way we are feeling about an issue.
This is where great quotes come in.
People like Albert Einstein and Oscar Wilde have been able to distill complicated situations into one-line masterpieces, which both encapsulate a problem and provide the solution.
Two examples - "Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value", and "Be yourself; everyone else is taken"
Both of the quotes takes issues of success and confidence and provide a solution to problems most of us have, in these cases "What's the best way to build a business?", and "How should I act in this situation?"
By having this book on your bedside table, or maybe nearby where you're having breakfast, and reading one (or more) quotes every morning, you will start your day off right by not only being inspired to take on the day, but often having a solution to a problem you may encounter.
The quotes in this book have been chosen as they are relatively short, which does two things:
a) it allows you to remember them more easily, for when you may need them
b) it will allow you to quote them to your friends, family and colleagues, which will make you look even smarter!
Quotes from the likes of Steve Jobs, Eleanor Roosevelt, Socrates, Louisa May Alcott (my favorite in the book) and many more will make you think, make you laugh, and even solve your problems.
Here's what's inside:
- Great advice on how to set yourself up for success in all areas of life (pp10-19)
- Tips on how to be yourself and how to treat others (pp22-31)
- Guidance on identifying true friends (pp34-43)
- Help on how to determine the truth (pp46-55)
- How forgiveness can help you more than the person you are forgiving (pp58-67)
- Great qualities of leadership (pp70-79)
- How your attitude will shape the outcome (pp82-91)
- Positive attitudes towards death, in order for your life to be fuller (pp94-103)
- The best ways to approach age (pp106-115)
- The value of good communication (pp118-127)
But, you might be saying to yourself, I could just Google this stuff. Why do I need a book? Well, here are three reasons:
- Google has few filters, so what you will get back will not be a curated list of the best quotes from great people which took many days to put together, but rather some half decent quotes interspersed with the ramblings of random guys and gals
- The quotes will often be long and not easily remembered or not applicable to your life, unlike the ones in this book, which are short and very thought-provoking
- Having a book to hand will turn reading quotes into a daily habit, creating a positive mindset, all for the price of 4 cups of coffee
