La tesis central del libro es que las sociedades que caen en esas formas de despotismo conocidas como dictaduras del siglo XXI, han aceptado previamente ideas falsas que las condenan al sometimiento. Las 10 ideas que se ponen en tela de juicio son: La suposición de que la dictadura supone violencia física, la democracia absoluta, la lucha de clases, la propia socialdemocracia, la igualdad, la noción del gobierno sabio, la suposición de que el estado es la ley, el equívoco de que el problema es la corrupción, la esperanza de que la prensa por sí sola nos hará libres y el impuesto a las ganancias con todo lo que eso significa. 10 Ideas Falsas que Favorecen al Despotismo es la clase de libros que no nos dejan indiferentes frente al problema del despotismo, expuesto con una absoluta prescindencia de toda corrección política, para quién tenga el valor de hacerse cargo de la realidad.

Todos somos víctimas de un sistema que parece que tenga que resolver todos nuestros problemas, sin ni siquiera tener nosotros que mover un dedo. El resultado de estos sistemas despóticos es que acaban manejándonos a su antojo. Este audio revela cómo actúan muchos de los gobiernos actuales.

Dictaduras disfrazadas de democracia
Me interesó muchísimo por su título y no me decepcionó en absoluto. Cuando los populismos en algunos países parecen ponerse de moda me preocupé por saber máso sobre ello. Este libro me pareció fundamental para desenmascarar las dictaduras disfrazadas de democracia.
