歴史小説家
1927年、東京に生まれる。第43回芥川賞候補。目黒区役所係員を振り出しに、都立大学事務長、都広報室課長、広報室長、企画調整局長、政策室長を歴任。1979年退職。在職中に累積した人間管理と組織の実学を歴史の中に再確認し、小説、ノンフィクションの分野に新境地を拓く。
著書に『小説上杉鷹山』『男の器量』『名将に学ぶ人間学』『日本の歴史どうしても知っておきたい名場面80』『坂本竜馬「自分」を大きくする法』ほか多数。
