The narrator delivers this book as if she is unfamiliar with English. The slow, stilted delivery is just awful.

I have enjoyed previous series by this author, but I'd recommend giving this trio a pass. The improbable and logically inconsistent premise of this and the previous book, dooms both. The impediments to the HEA are so artificial that there is no logical or organic way for the author to write past it. The characters simply must remain foolish until they aren't. I just wanted the story to be over.
The third book in the series may benefit from being free of the curse storyline. However, it will take time for readers/listeners to warm up to Jane, the probable heroine. She has been easily the least likeable supporting character.
On a side note, I love heat in my regencies, but these characters are ridiculously randy. The fact that the hero is instantly and constantly aroused, comes off as more strange than sexy.
Not worth a credit.

Wonderful writing frustrating characters

Rosalyn Landonr is fantastic as usual, but the story does not hold up. The violence against women and casually offered physical threats are hard to read. Supporting characters are more convenient plot devices than actual people. The ending is much too neat. Every subplot gets a wonderful HEA .
