Similar to other apocalyptic stories because I guess there’s little alteration you can do other than survival
Really nice characters.
Some predictable moments others pleasantly surprising.
Well worth the rate

Historia
Demonstrating once again her gift for spellbinding storytelling, Anne Rice makes real for us a great dynasty of four centuries of witches - a family given to poetry and incest, murder and philosophy, a family that over the ages is itself haunted by a powerful, dangerous, and seductive being called Lasher who haunts the Mayfair women. Moving in time from today's New Orleans and San Francisco to long-ago Amsterdam and the France of Louis XIV, from the coffee plantations of Port-au-Prince to Civil War New Orleans and back to today, Anne Rice has spun a mesmerizing tale.

A little like the Bible, absolutely fascinating
Revisado: 03-04-23
It has the numbers, long, protracted periods of heritage and history, which you need to listen to to get to the full story, but that are a little monotonous, however amazing stories of humanity, independent, strength, foolish mistakes, that then build on wonderful decisions. Humanity that it’s very messiest also at its best.
Well written well read and definitely difficult to put down.

I’m in the older generations so sometimes modern technology gaming matrix type series don’t resonate well. However I stuck with this and soon found the story in the story to be truly gripping. Really good listen to most ages. Underpinned by theological principles and the Lord’s love. Give it ago it’s good
