Because western medicine has a disease bias it is applying bandaids not fixing people. Additionally because there is an inbred bias against women, we have never gotten the research nor the attention needed to actually attain health, not just to treat disease. Women are not just smaller men! Most pharmaceuticals have not been tested against women’s hormonal cycles (28days), but instead they’ve been tuned to men’s 24hour cycles. As women’s hormonal, nutritional, exercise and sexual needs have been ignored, women have suffered poor health and shaming from and by doctors. To obtain proper exogenous treatments, women first must explore the endogenous environment first. Women need improvement and attention to individual, perhaps even unique treatments with the professional guidance deserved! I cannot be more certain in these statements.

Eckhart Tolle encourages you to step into the space between thoughts and discover the joyous treasures that lie within. If your true self can’t be found in your job, your possessions, your body, or even the contents of your mind, then just who are you, anyway? Tolle has long considered this question - and with The Journey into Yourself, he guides listeners on a fascinating exploration beyond conceptual identities and into the timeless consciousness of the present moment.

Lessons in present moments and the mind-made self!
Revisado: 06-12-23
Eckhart again exceeds my expectations, altho he’d remark that I need none. The man who laughs like a loud annoying duck in heat, got to me too! i soon realized that he was a plant to test my patience and presence and so I could not resist listening again and again… His comment that “most people treat the present moment as if it were an obstacle to overcome” was flanked by Eckhart’s loud, prolonged laughter, bringing me right back to the wisdom of the teaching. In my most ardent study of what he says, how he says it and how I receive his teachings, I’ve tried to learn that whenever I become defensive, I know that I am identified with an illusion. We know how our ego loves an illusion, how it loves to feed on my pain-body and that exactly what I’m defending has no need to exist at all in a state of presence and mindfulness. His remarks about asking a child to name the little monster that takes the place of the heretofore angel, has helped me to better understand my 4y.o. granddaughter, who I dearly love. I’m hoping she will come up with a name I can remember and recognize when she transforms before my very eyes. His wisdom and humility are unparalleled by some of the best dharma teachers under which I have studied for some 20 years. Please keep writing, Eckhart, I’ll keep listening!

Trust your heart
Revisado: 02-08-23
Not an easy mission but sage advise for anyone willing to listen and open their heart to love, joy and growth. A wise Rabbi taught to place joy upon your heart. Why, asked a young student. Because, he said, that when your hear breaks, they all fall in. A true story relayed by Jack Kornfield, himself! His book is truly wonderful and heart opening.

Historia
In my book, you will meet a little girl named Viola who ran from her past until she made a life-changing decision to stop running forever. This is my story, from a crumbling apartment in Central Falls, Rhode Island, to the stage in New York City, and beyond. This is the path I took to finding my purpose but also my voice in a world that didn’t always see me.

Heartfelt, tearful for me this book tells it all.
Revisado: 01-28-23
Sometimes but rarely a story is told that drops me to my very knees - the veracity, the genuineness, the honesty. Even being white and probably considered privileged, I cried with Viola, I prayed with her and I so identify with her struggle. “The only one I couldn’t love was me.” She brought us through her life, her triumphs and her failures in a way that only Viola Davis could. She has touched my very soul and it will never be untouched again! Thank you.

How about use old folks?
Revisado: 10-11-22
Altho I found you book quite helpful and inspiring, I’d just love to know how you’d approach an afterwords of dealing with handling our self-perceptions when we age and change into fat, ugly, old women that no one ever notices (anymore) and that we can’t accept as self. Your book, Katie was helpful, but as our bodies change with age having hair where it never was, no hair where it was supposed to be, and having abundant fat that was never ever supposed to appear. We are a forgotten group in society that is thought to sit in a rocking chair and die…

Historia
Fumio Sasaki is not an enlightened minimalism expert or organizing guru like Marie Kondo - he's just a regular guy who was stressed out and constantly comparing himself to others, until one day he decided to change his life by saying goodbye to everything he didn't absolutely need. The effects were remarkable: Sasaki gained true freedom, new focus, and a real sense of gratitude for everything around him.

Who doesn’t breathe? Who among us is aware of breathing?
Revisado: 03-23-22
Thich Nhat Hanh is a master who in my opinion in the 60’s should have received the Nobel Peace Prize. However I’m sure he never even knew he was dominated by MLK Jr. This book is master teaching for life; use it’’s instructions to redirect your life and daily ablutions. Don’t forget to breathe, which if alive you don’t but don’t forget to be conscious of breathing. Breathing in, I smile, breathing out, I smile. Smile…

Historia
As a botanist and professor of plant ecology, Robin Wall Kimmerer has spent a career learning how to ask questions of nature using the tools of science. As a Potawatomi woman, she learned from elders, family, and history that the Potawatomi, as well as a majority of other cultures indigenous to this land, consider plants and animals to be our oldest teachers.

The sadness of our history
Revisado: 12-31-21
It’s not just sadness and broken heartedness to learn the truth of our treatment of our land and it’s indigenous peoples; but it’s knowing of damage left and unrepared. Those who refuse to learn our history are bound to repeat it. Let us never revisit the horror of death and destruction we Europeans left in the wake of ‘civilization’. Many tears later, I sit stunned by Robin’s messages and even her melodious voice which narrates her book. It’s not an easy book but it’s powerful beyond these mere words…
