Peter Noble's narration ruined this book for me.

Very difficult to get past the poor narration

My wife and I purchased this for a road trip and we struggled to get through the first 30min. Eventually we just couldn't take it anymore and we stopped it.
About a year later I'm trying to give it another chance (my wife, however, refuses to listen to it again).
The reader is very bad and Its possible that the story wouldn't be as difficult to get through if it had a different reader.
if you're really interested in this book, I would recommend reading it instead of listening to it.

In Apology, Socrates defends himself before the Athenian court against charges of corrupting youth. Phaedo is the account by a young man of the actual last words and moments of Socrates.

Even better than I expected

I enjoyed everything about this audio book. The reader is good about keeping a steady pace as he reads, allowing you to absorb Socrates's words.
The text, in itself is amazing. Even a couple thousand years after his death it is still very insightful and pertinent.
