Very cool story and a great story of someone who was very powerful being reborn into his weak ten-year-old self.

Freeing the troll’s sacrificial captives was only the beginning. Now the remnants of humanity must find a safe place to call home. But Nat's Park isn't the safe haven he was promised it would be. Historia
In an act of desperation, Ethan takes a quest to free himself and his wife from Mythian forever. Melody only has one life, and nowhere is safe for her, not even the cities. To help keep Melody safe, Ethan travels alone, at least until an old ally joins him - one who could prove to be the key to his success...or the destruction of all he holds dear. The seeds of karma were planted long ago, and they are about to yield fruit. One choice is poison, one is salvation. It’s time to decide.

Historia
After setting the game's difficulty to Hard Mode, Ethan learns his wife is in terrible danger. The game has labeled Melody an "unregistered personality" and turned her into a quest objective. Now, a ruthless band of raiders are after her for their own reasons. Some want experience, others are looking for a new challenge. One of them - Lord Beast - pursues a darker objective. If he succeeds, Melody's personality will be destroyed forever. Nothing in Mythian is what it seems, nowhere is safe, and every bargain has an expiration date. Even Ethan’s promise to himself.

Historia
The world watches the sky with trepidation. The insanity of Xenocide knew no bounds, and all will soon suffer the effects he had planned for a millennium. Though none know what is to come, they all know it isn't going to be easy to survive. The Master has a plan, one that can give the world at large a way to escape the onrushing desolation. It may be on the bleeding edge of morality and what he needs might prove too difficult to secure, but the Master asks for trust. Cal and Dale both have their role to play as the world hurtles toward destruction.

Laughed, worried and felt part of the Story!
Revisado: 10-15-19
Such a great book! Laughed, worried, and felt like I was part of the story! This is one of the best compliments I can give a story. I am sorry to see this series ending..!
LUKE DANIELS is one of the very best narrators in the business and having him take over, was the very best solution to a otherwise difficult situation. I know the author has talked about the previous NARRATOR not being able to continue doing the voice over for some reason, which of course is unfortunate.
BUT man LUKE DANIELS does a wonderful job taking over, and bringing the characters to life!

Historia
They say suicides are damned for eternity. But if possessing the bodies of violent criminals is Hell, then Dan Jenkins will take it. And he does every time a portal arrives to whisk him from his ghostly exile. Dan rides the living like a supernatural jockey, pushing out their consciousness and taking over. He doesn't know where their minds go while he's in charge, and for the most part doesn't care. He's just happy to live again.

Brought me around!
Revisado: 08-26-19
I am going to start by saying this is not my typical genre of book to read. I say this because most of my 'gripe' with this book was that it took me a bit to get into the story, and I think that is the primary culprit.
As stated, I can't say the premise of the book captured me right off the start. I felt it was too dark, spiritual, and twisted. However, the more I listened the more the main character Dan came to life. The more his intelligence shone and the more I liked it. By the end of the book I was completely turned around and wanting more.
I would say I enjoyed this book and would compare it most closely to a Jack Reacher novel. It has the same stoicism and power from the MC. It has the same mystery and reveal, the same intelligence in the writing. I use Jack Reacher mostly because it is so popular.
If you are even considering this title I strongly recommend it. It will not disappoint.

Historia
My name is Kvothe. You may have heard of me. So begins a tale told from his own point of view - a story unequaled in fantasy literature. Now in The Wise Man’s Fear, Day Two of The Kingkiller Chronicle, Kvothe takes his first steps on the path of the hero and learns how difficult life can be when a man becomes a legend in his own time.

Another Fantastic Addition
Revisado: 03-30-15
What did you love best about The Wise Man's Fear?
Wise Man's Fear continues Kvothe's epic tale wonderfully. Adding exploits that have turned our character into a legend. But also into the shell of his former self. It precludes a dark fall to come in book three and hints at many reasons and path's for such a fall to take. This book was once again a must read.
What other book might you compare The Wise Man's Fear to and why?
Words of Radiance
Which character – as performed by Nick Podehl – was your favorite?
Again I have to pick Bast as I know he has a hidden agenda and I can't figure out what it is. He is wonderfully written and i am stuck between whether he is evil, good or something else entirely.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I laughed often, rarely cried but clenched my fist in frustration numerous times thinking I could do a better job of winning women than Kvothe.
Any additional comments?
Again a must have and just all around best fantasy series I have read in recent years.

The Best Fantasy Has to Offer
Revisado: 03-30-15
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
This book is fantastically well written, the feel of the words whether listening or reading gives a feeling intended to help readers, or listeners set a scene. He also does a fantastic job of foreshadowing things to come in later books that you may not catch the first time around, but make a second listen all that much more enjoyable!
Who was your favorite character and why?
Well Kvothe obviously, he is a daring character with a ton of wit, charm and good looks. However, as he is the books main character it would be tough for him not to be our favourite. So I will say Bast because the more you get to know about him the more intriguing he becomes and the more deep.
Which scene was your favorite?
There is a point where Kvothe gives a bit of "Hot foot" to a smarmy professor. I absolutely love the depth of hate I feel towards the professor and the amount of satisfaction I feel when Kvothe deals out a bit of much deserved pain.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Always call a jack a jack, a spade a spade, but always call a whore a lady, she has been through enough.
Any additional comments?
This is a must read if you are a fantasy fan. All you Game of Thrones advocates who are losing your favourite characters one after the other. Look no further!
