Historia
Paul Scheer has entertained countless fans and podcast listeners with stories about the odd, wild, and absurd details of his life. Yet these tales have pointed to deeper, more difficult truths that the actor and comedian has kept to himself. Now, he is finally ready to share those truths for the first time—but, of course, with a healthy dose of humor.

Loved the audio version of this book, Paul Scheer is always fun to listen to, and the bonus How Did This Get Made clips are a nice touch to drive the story forward.

Historia
This book explores the dramatic difference between the Russian and US approach to warfare, which manifests itself across the whole spectrum of activities from art and the economy to the respective national cultures; illustrates the fact that Russian economic, military, and cultural realities and power are no longer what American "elites" think they are by addressing Russia's new and elevated capacities in the areas of traditional warfare, as well as cyberwarfare and space; and studies several ways in-depth in which the US can simply stumble into conflict with Russia and what must be done to avoid it.

One of the best works of the modern era
Revisado: 02-01-24
Graeber gives a really interesting overview of the current state of employment in our capitalist system. One of the better anarchist writers of our times. He will be missed.

Historia
After 1989, capitalism has successfully presented itself as the only realistic political-economic system - a situation that the bank crisis of 2008, far from ending, actually compounded. The audiobook analyses the development and principal features of this capitalist realism as a lived ideological framework. Using examples from politics, films, fiction, work, and education, it argues that capitalist realism colours all areas of contemporary experience.

love the book, I really wish someone else could have been chosen to read the audio version. It's really hard to overlook this grifting leech who is not anything close to being anticapitalist.

Historia
A revolution brewing for generations has begun in fire. It will end in blood. The Free Navy - a violent group of Belters in black-market military ships - has crippled the Earth and begun a campaign of piracy and violence among the outer planets. The colony ships heading for the thousand new worlds on the far side of the alien ring gates are easy prey, and no single navy remains strong enough to protect them. James Holden and his crew know the strengths and weaknesses of this new force better than anyone.

It's Better than the snob reviews
Revisado: 06-05-21
Yes it's another chapter in the series, like all the rest of the installments. But if you like the Expanse series, you'll like this book as well as any other. Pá is a great character and glad she played a larger role. Book 4 is still the low point for me, and wasn't terrible. Stop bitching and enjoy the story, kids.
