Historia
Minalan the Spellmonger has come a long way since he woke up to a goblin invasion almost a decade ago. Since then, he has built cities and mighty armies, invented new enchantments, and pioneered entirely new fields of magic. Now that the Witch Queen of Darkfaller has taken over one of the most powerful castles in the center of the kingdom, he has to marshal all his resources—political, military, and arcane—to try to drive her from the strategic and symbolically important stronghold.

Historia
Eric is a physicist, an angel vivisectionist, and an architect of the future. He's also an accidental time traveler, stuck in the past and trying to re-create his own future. Now he's got to save the world for a better tomorrow, but not like everyone does, in general, every day. Oh, no. He has to make a better tomorrow that looks exactly the way he remembers it, or there may be no yesterday, no today, and no Eric! There is a reason he hates time travel, and it has nothing to do with physics.

it's the 8th book and I'm still loving the journey we can see the ending shaping up a lot of questions threads from the first books are coming to gather. I can't wait to see the time loop end and see what happens again when he can live his life again. parts of the story are a bit long in the tooth, with what's going. His best human moments are missing, but that's just the part of the story we are in. People who love the words and enjoy the listening will enjoy the book for the journey but, this is a gathering point in the story . Thee curtains are being pulled back, so it's slow. the next book will be better because of what book 8 does. Here Be Dragons going to be so good.

Historia
Nikolai doesn’t want much out of life: sex, immortality, and the power to disembowel anyone who crosses him. But with dark magic forbidden, his only option is Medea–a mage so deadly even the Enforcers give her a wide berth. Despite dire warnings that her apprentices don’t survive, Nikolai won’t stop until she agrees to train him. After all, he’s a killer himself.

a book in the gray where all the best story's live
Revisado: 02-26-23
Good setup for the world gives us the why's and how's but doesn't feel the need to hold your hand. The female lead is great! strong and powerful but with reality of being human.
The male lead is the issue parts of him read well then they don't like a good runner putting on too small shoes you know the talent is their and should be great, but it's off. then you go back to him being written well then not so much.
for example bigger magic pool no that's stupid dark magic, being able to heal from life ending damage no its stupid I want power!!! dark magic, but he is smart and none emotional his interplay with woman good ,his inter play with his best friend great. how's and why on those relationships are constant . idk the ending gives hopes those issue are done with since the plot point that seem to drive the issues are over. Buy the book I'll read this book again and the next book too.

a book to make you fall in love with books
Revisado: 09-25-16
if this was the first book i ever read it would make me go out and find more. it does not have fights with dragons or magic that blows things away, but it truly is what fantasy is ment to be, in the sense that it took me to new places and offered up new ways to look at things and gave me a chance to live in a new world while i was between the pages. pick up this book and find out how good man who is broken becouse a hero.

Historia
Jorg would be emperor. It is a position not to be gained by the sword but rather by vote. And never in living memory has anyone secured a majority of the vote, leaving the Broken Empire long without a leader. Jorg has plans to change that - one way or the other. He’s uncovered even more of the lost technology of the land, and he won’t hesitate to use it. But he soon finds an adversary standing in his way, a necromancer unlike any he has ever faced - a figure hated and feared even more than himself: the Dead King. The boy who would rule all may have finally met his match....

makes you wish for more
Revisado: 08-24-16
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, a great performance, good writing, memorable characters. then throw in some laughter, and finally throwing out the lines between black and white, whats not to like.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Well Jorg would be the character i most liked manly becouse, I can't really make up my mind on if i view him as a bad guy or a good guy. well maybe good guy is a bit of a strech so last say gray guy.
What about James Clamp’s performance did you like?
His performance lets me enjoy the book.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Yes, it made me care about the characters in the book to the point i wish i had more time with them and the world.
Any additional comments?
This book has everything that made you read the last two books, and you get to see Jorg grow more as a character. Only real down side is this is the last book.
