Historia
Sharp claws keep you safe. That’s the brutal lesson Thorne learned as a young wolf-shifter. Abandoned as a child, singled out by an evil uncle, and then forced to work for the ruthless Order of the Well, Thorne’s anger was a weapon as much as his claws. Now a vicious Fae Guardian, he hunts monsters, the human enemy, and anything that gets in his way. On a mission to find his missing mentor, Thorne finds himself suddenly mated to Laurel, a beautiful, driven, but damaged human awoken from a time long since past.

The female voice is awful
Revisado: 09-06-23
The female narrator makes poor Thorne sound like Marge Simpson’s older twin sisters. Makes for a weird visual. Overall she makes all the characters sound like 40+yo smokers. Ruined the story telling experience.

Historia
I went in search of miracles…and stumbled upon a monster instead. In return for the healing I was so desperate for, I just had to make one teensy weensie promise…. To be his consort for, uh…forever.

Lots of bugs in audible version
Revisado: 07-18-23
The editing on the audible version of this book leaves a lot of noticeable issues, usually at the end of the chapters. In addition to that I think the kindle version has some editing done after this was recorded as I noticed the female narrator saying a line that didn’t exist in the KU version - and it was cut off in the middle with bad editing.
The male narrator was pretty flat and monotone. The idea behind the story is solid and unique and I enjoyed it but stick to reading it instead of listening.
