Please bring back original narrator for future books.
Revisado: 01-08-24
As many have noted, while the new narrator is fine, he doesn’t bring the youthful Galvin we all have grown to love. His timing doesn’t play well with the Hardy - Q verbal sparing. I have just started Franklin and the new narrator has already killed the pronunciation of crew members names.
Thanks for fixing the “niece” thing. It was driving me nuts.

Action and lighthearted humor

Relistening to the series for the 3rd or 4th time and enjoying it as much if not more than the first time. Great characters and subplots.

Historia
After the recent near-destruction of the USS Hamilton, Captain Galvin Quintos has been lying low, getting the USS Jefferson ready for service. In the midst of refurbishing the vessel, he gets a call for help from his former XO, new starship captain Gail Pristy. The Varapin have lured the Ninth Fleet into a devious trap, and it’s not long before Quintos has his orders to hurry to the rescue. But the Varapin have a colossal new warship - one that puts anything the US Space-Navy has to shame.

Best of the four books
Revisado: 03-04-22
Despite a little of a slow start the series has improved with each book. This one is the best by far. Fun characters and not the typical predictable battle scenes. Looking forward to the next book. Great narration as well.

Historia
Science fiction allows us to go places we can only dream of seeing - other worlds, distant stars, entirely different galaxies. While not every story is concerned with the hard science behind space travel and other futuristic ventures, fiction can give us amazing insight into what we could be capable of and what we dream of doing. In these 10 lectures, Professor Erin Macdonald interweaves real science and the achievements of the imagination to reveal the truth that underlies our favorite stories and sheds light on what the future may hold.

Informative and entertaining
Revisado: 04-26-20
Dr. Macdonald is able to relate real science to concepts portrayed in various sci-fi movies, tv, and literature. Very entertaining and engaging.
She has a wonderful voice as well.
