fun entertaining book that is layered and complex
Revisado: 02-12-25
What a phenomenal book! I am so happy that I listened to this book. Honestly, I want to read it again!! The book is super entertaining and fun and scary and creepy. There are multiple layers - honestly, I was a little surprised at how complex the story is. However, the author is very skilled at storytelling so the complexity comes across quite naturally. The characters got "in my head" and I think about them often. They are very unique! I'd love to know how the author was inspired to write this. The story seems like it might be one type of genre but then surprises with flourishes that break out of the mould. The performer is quite good as well and does a great job of telling the various stories in such a way that makes it clear which part is being performed. HIGHLY recommended!!!
