I'm a devout Atheist but.....

I am a devout Atheist, a free thinker. A science believer. Why did I buy a bible then? I bought this because growing up as catholic, I never actually opened a bible but did attend church thru 12 years old where in church, we were read versus from the bible in every mass but never paid that much attention as well as I didn't believe a word of it, and I wanted, as an adult, to know why so many people are "sucked in" to this story.
I have family members (not many) who are "god" people, bible people if you will, and I wanted to have the same information as they did when the subject came up. What I found was, most of people really haven't read the bible as I now have (audibly, not actually read-who has time for that). I find this so hypocritical and I am not naïve as I realize most people who are "believers" have never opened or barely opened a bible in their lives. If they only knew the horror and the wrath and the killer god actually is as well as a Jewish mafioso (ordering the killings of people) in the old testament. Jesus was a little more tame than his daddy but still, "believe in me or else" is something I can live without.
This version is very good. Well read. It seems to be the real King James version. I learned a lot (and about Lot and his wife and daughters, wow, salt and incest, it's in there!). I find myself well versed now and from time to time, with the bookmarks feature in Audible, I can refer to key points I felt important to know. It serves as kind of a greatest hits, parts of the bible story most people know and I can now, intelligently discuss argue against if it comes to that.

Well read. Hence, the 2-stars. Includes the Bill of Rights (first 10 amendments) but missing Amendments 11 thru 27! Why? What's the deal with that! Now I will have to buy another audible version that includes 100% of the Constitution or go to YT which has the full version. Its not as convenient of having it in Audible where you have certain controls i.e., bookmarks and speed of narration. I highly recommend looking elsewhere for the full document.
