Historia
You can’t truly understand the last decade of the 20th century without a look at the muddy, electrifying rock music that would come to define it: grunge. For such a short-lived genre—at least in the mainstream—grunge had a lasting impact on American music and culture. It also provides a unique lens through which to examine the post-Reagan, pre-internet America of the 1990s. In the six lectures of The Story of Grunge, you’ll explore the rise and evolution of the genre, tracing it from Seattle subculture to MTV and the Billboard charts, all the way to its decline and evolution into new forms.

A great job explaining the mindset on using the scene at the time.

Growing up in Tacoma, Wa during the birth of grunge was a great experience. I was 13 years old in 1988 and spent my youth driving between Seattle and Olympia seeing all the shows I could. You do a great job representing this era and area!

Historia
The Poker Stop-It List wasn't written by a mega pro. It was written by a fellow human who just loves (and now crushes) the game. I’m an established author. I created a blog followed by millions, as well as various books. Over the years, my followers never knew that I had a secret life playing poker. I wrote about parenting, relationships, life, introspective topics, and shared lots of opinions and stories. My gift has always been putting complex concepts and human dynamics into words that others connect with and understand. So, why not do it with poker, too?

Historia
In Drug Use for Grown-Ups, he draws on decades of research and his own personal experience to argue definitively that the criminalization and demonization of drug use - not drugs themselves - have been a tremendous scourge on America, not least in reinforcing this country's enduring structural racism. Dr. Hart did not always have this view. He came of age in one of Miami's most troubled neighborhoods at a time when many ills were being laid at the door of crack cocaine. His initial work as a researcher was aimed at proving that drug use caused bad outcomes.

Mind opening!
Revisado: 03-12-21
I am a 46 year old rec drug user. I have hid my use for many years and lived with shame and guilt about it. This book opened my mind to the human nature of drug use, the desire to relax and feel good. Dr. Hart gives an intelligent answer to my personal questions and freed me to look at my life differently. Listening to the author's description of his personal experiences with different substances gives a human perspective to drug use. Not the text book description that we have all been fed our whole life. Please read this book, it can change your life!
