Historia
Zane was driving home from work when the world changed. Thousands of dungeons spawned at once, taking up every inch of Earth—including the road he’s driving on. He wakes up to a totaled car and a broken leg, facing down a goblin trying to spear him through the guts. And that's just the start of it. But to Zane’s surprise, he finds himself enjoying this brutal new world. While others cower and hide, he goes on the hunt. He unlocks a unique Berserker skill—the more damage he takes, the stronger he gets.

Sooooo bad.
Sounds like a game show host trying to read a book in game show mode.
It’s so hard to listen and engage.
Spoiler
The MC gets revenge on his childhood nemesis and his ex girlfriend right away.
Such a waste of a credit.

Value for your credit
Revisado: 09-04-24
So many books on audible are broken up so you have to spend multiple credits, this is the opposite. There is a lot of depth to this story so that when the book ended I was surprised I was still on book one!
It is a mesh of my favorite styles of fantasy. A little LitRPG, some classic sword and shield and science fiction.
The pace is just fast enough that I didn’t want to pause but I had to so I didn’t miss the next plot point I laughed at points. This is always fun while in a silent crowd and everyone thinks you’re a little nuts.
The characters are well developed.
My only complaint is that the narrator makes all the woman’s voices annoying!
Overall, great listen. Will follow this series as long as it keeps going.

Why we think it’s a great listen: An all-time Audible favorite that mixes historic fiction, adventure, and romance with one of the most fascinating literary devices: time travel. Outlander introduces an exhilarating world of heroism and breathtaking thrills as one woman is torn between past and present, passion and love. In 1945, former combat nurse Claire Randall returns from World War II and joins her husband for a second honeymoon. But their blissful reunion is shattered....

Without doubt these are amazing book. Since I read them first I am very satisfied with the audio version thanks the the narrator. So well done. So often the narrator gives away the surprises of the book by their tone. Ms. Porter does a good job of letting the reader be surprised! Great listen!

Historia
All Systems Red is the tense first science fiction adventure novella in Martha Wells' series The Murderbot Diaries. For fans of Westworld, Ex Machina, Ann Leckie's Imperial Raadch series, or Iain M. Banks' Culture novels. The main character is a deadly security droid that has bucked its restrictive programming and is balanced between contemplative self-discovery and an idle instinct to kill all humans.

Historia
Zachary Quinto - best known for his role as the Nimoy-approved Spock in the recent Star Trek reboot and the menacing, power-stealing serial killer, Sylar, in Heroes - brings his well-earned sci-fi credentials and simmering intensity to this audio-exclusive novella from master storyteller John Scalzi. One day, not long from now, it becomes almost impossible to murder anyone - 999 times out of a thousand, anyone who is intentionally killed comes back. How? We don't know.

Wait before you listen to this short story. Have a car ride you aren’t looking forward to? A couple hours that you are dreading and need something to take your mind off of it? Some dental work and have a dentist that only uses local? This might be the ticket. It was a captivating read.
Well written, Amazingly narrated. 10 out of 5 stars!

Two brothers, one is in the rural Midwest looking for his father and driving his dads muscle car. He’s on the lookout for SUPERNATURAL items when his brother the college graduate calls because his woman is possessed by something dark.
I enjoyed the book but I took a mental STAND when they went to a different realm and met a southern woman on a porch in the middle of a field.
Good narration. Will look for his other projects.

More than two centuries after World War III poisoned the planet, the final bastion of humanity lives on massive airships circling the globe in search of a habitable area to call home. Aging and outdated, most of the ships plummeted back to Earth long ago. The only thing keeping the two surviving lifeboats in the sky are Hell Divers - men and women who risk their lives by skydiving to the surface to scavenge for parts the ships desperately need.

“Page turner”?
Revisado: 01-04-24
Don’t know what to call it, but I kept listening at times i usually don’t because I needed to know what happens next. I’m not generally a huge fan of post apocalyptic books, but I liked this one.
RC Bray is great as always. Perfect narrator for this book.
Just finished book 4 and am going to take a bit of a break. The author does a great job of painting a dark and borderline hopeless landscape. Need a bit of a palette cleanser before I jump back in to the series

Great performance!
Revisado: 12-06-23
I am always amazed when I listen to these books at the range the narrator has. You know when each and every character is talking because they are all so unique! I doubt I would enjoy these book if I read them myself!
The story however meh. It’s a filler book, I just hope the authors keep a story line going instead of creating a hole, dropping the story into it and then not getting it back out.

Too many ads
Revisado: 11-03-23
The ads are so often and so long I forget what the story is even about. The same ad will play twice at the end of one episode and twice at the beginning of the next.
I like both the cold case and the I survived, but not back to back. Sometimes I want to listen to one or the other.
There are so many true crime options and this one is more trouble then it’s worth.
