the humor was very odd and I liked it a lot! LOL. the romance was medium but I still liked it. it just wasn't like super passionate or anything? and no love scenes or anything just FYI! not that it really needed it but I did want to know how it went! LOL. I really like the main character. someone in the comments said that he is a little goblin and that's totally true. maybe that's why no love scenes because it would be weird with a goblin? the performance was excellent! just amazing Over All

Super cute, though I was getting a little bored with the plot. everything is so goofy though, that it makes up for it. I love every Alice Winters book. and Michael, thank you for the song at the end. Beautiful. 😂 You're great.

A lot of popculture references

If you enjoy a large amount of nerdy popculture references then this is totally for you! Unfortunately that sort of ruins the magic for me. I got about 2 hours in but all the, like, fanservice (?) was driving me kinda crazy. Like sort of meta stuff regarding being a nerd who writes alien romances and proceeds to have an alien romance with a guy who looks like The Doctor from Doctor Who and who's brother looks like the Firefly guy and the annoying guy who looks like Chris Evans....
I think I stayed listening for as long as I did because Greg Boudreaux is so freaking amazing.

The perfect supernatural fantasy romance!!

I was SO EXCITED to see the author had continued this series! Megan Maslow is masterful at storytelling, amazing at humor, character development, and world building. she's the whole package. I adored the characters and story. You just don't get bored ever!
Greg Boudreaux is one of my top three favorite narrators!

I love Alice Winters! she never disappoints! I love that she can do comedy, a goodwell-thoughr-out plot, and romance. Michael Ferraiuolo is one of the best narrators ever.

I have been struggling to find a good book to listen to and I got so excited when I saw Alice Winters had a new audible! and with Michael Ferraiuolo who is one of the three best narrators. This was great and unique and so flipping hilarious!

Great writing but somewhat disturbing premise?

I enjoy this author and narrator a lot but the way the character couldn't properly enjoy anything but then was still having sex was just not for me. I also didn't like that while they were having sex the other character was unable to control himself and was being awful. So all around they had it rough. Then I just felt like there weren't enough good times to really feel like they had achieved their bond well. The chemistry just wasn't there.

Narrator's voice sounds strange

I couldn't quite get over the way the narrator sounds enough to finish. I know I liked the story and writing but I couldn't get past the narrator's voice. Sorry.

May be entertaining for younger women?

I really gave this book a chance but it just proved too juvenile for me. The story line was somewhat weak, the characters underdeveloped and seemed to be more feminine then was natural? the male characters had conversations that just didn't seem realistic to how men act or speak. The dialogue was strange. They fell into the relationship too quickly. I appreciated the premise of a large polyamorous relationship and the supernatural creatures including the Griffin. References to Harry Potter and the characters wondering if J K. Rowling was a supernatural creature sort of dampened the magical element of the story. I felt it was rather lackluster that the dragon character was named Draco as that would amount to naming a person "human" in Latin basically and for some reason made me unreasonably irritated.
