What a lovely story
Revisado: 10-22-23
This was a fabulous book. I couldn’t wait to get on my car & listen everyday. The story has humor, sadness & a lesson about becoming your own person. She brings Italy to life, with her graphic description of piazzas and sunsets. The betrayal of sister was so sad & unexpected. I’ll stop I don’t want to give too much away. I’m sure I’ll be listening to it again again.

Historia
It's been exactly two years since Katie and her aunt and uncle opened the Honeybee Bakery, where they serve delicious - and bespelled - treats to the good people of Savannah. After a dinner celebrating the bakery's anniversary, they all take a stroll along the waterfront and meet Aunt Lucy's friend Orla, a colorful character who has been telling the fortunes of locals and tourists alike for years. The next day, Orla meets with what seems like a terrible accident, but Katie's witchy intuition tells her it was something more sinister.

The Bailey Cates books are are wonderfully written with details that bring it life. Love the narrator Amy Rubinate with her southern accents to her Haitian flare is a joy to listen to. Look forward to many more of Bailey Cates books in the Caity Lightfoot series. Sidenote it would be nice to see some of her recipes in the books
