Historia
About 60,000 years ago, the first Homo sapiens were just beginning their move across the grasslands and up the ladder of civilization. Everything since then, as they say, is history. Just in case you were sleeping in class that day, the geniuses at mental_floss magazine have put together a hilarious (and historically accurate) primer on everything you need to know---and that means the good stuff.

Quick Romp Review
Revisado: 09-14-10
This book was lively and moved along with a lot of humor and information. It was free of a "right" or "wrong" theme and moved through the phases of various cultures and religions with no biasis.

Historia
In this stunning audiobook, Malcolm Gladwell takes us on an intellectual journey through the world of "outliers" - the best and the brightest, the most famous, and the most successful. He asks the question: What makes high-achievers different? His answer is that we pay too much attention to what successful people are like, and too little attention to where they are from: That is, their culture, their family, their generation, and the idiosyncratic experiences of their upbringing.

I've listened to it twice and will listen again to gain the subtle points that got past me earlier. Great book, highly recommended.

Historia
Known by his troops in World War II as "The GI General" because of his close identification with the men under his command, Omar Bradley commanded the U.S. Twelfth Army Group in Europe. By the spring of 1945, this group contained four field armies, 12 corps, 48 divisions, and more than 1,300,000 men, the largest exclusively American field command in U.S. history.

Bradley
Revisado: 10-29-09
This is a typical well researched paper that does a very food job of pointing out the importance of the man Bradley. I enjoyed it very much but as I listened to it I wanted the author to give me more details about the conflicts that existed between the allied Generals, ie Patton, Ike Montgmery. The author does a very nice job of taking us through Bradleys career and brings out many points that are not generally known about the man. Well written and interesting, I recommend it to young military officers and NCO's, here is a man that can be a model for excellent leadership.

Give Your Heart to the Hawks
Revisado: 10-29-09
I have long had a love of the characters that roamed the west in the 1800-1850's. Blevins has wonderful detail and puts it together in an easy to read/understand manner. His interludes are great and they fill in a lot of information about the general community of Mountain Men rather that individuals. I recommend this book if you want a general overview of the times and characters.

I was wanting more definate historical fact. It would not be fair for me to rate this other than average because I am not a person wo likes the novels in series. I've read two of this series and both are the same. Good stories, interesting characters but not what I was looking for in historical data.
