Historia
It was a crime so brutal, it changed the lives of even the most hardened homicide cops. The Haas family murders left a scar on the community nothing can erase, but everyone agrees that convicting the killer, Karl Dahl, is a start. Only Judge Carey Moore seems to be standing in the way. Her ruling that Dahl's prior criminal record is inadmissible raises a public outcry, and puts the judge in grave danger.

Surprised
Revisado: 04-10-19
This was really bad for me to get through. After reading the series of books already and then listen to this reader was horrible for me. The voices didn’t change and he was so dramatic. I can’t believe this was by the same person. Truly disappointed.

Historia
Renée Ballard works the night shift in Hollywood, beginning many investigations but finishing none, as each morning she turns her cases over to day shift detectives. A once up-and-coming detective, she's been given this beat as punishment after filing a sexual harassment complaint against a supervisor. But one night she catches two cases she doesn't want to part with: the brutal beating of a prostitute left for dead in a parking lot and the killing of a young woman in a nightclub shooting. Ballard is determined not to give up at dawn.

The story would have been a little more exciting no, a lot more had the reader been like an entertainer. It was so obvious that she was just reading the book. I like so many other question how they get these people to act out the story!!!???
So many times I have read the reviews and the complaint was the story teller and how it ruined the book. I would thing the writers would be more selective.

Boring

Sorry but I found this to be really boring. The reader was good. Going back and forth like the story read was a little distracting with it being each other chapter.

Revisado: 12-09-17
I was disappointed in this one. It didn’t seem like the same person wrote this one the narrator was hard to listen to. All the characters were the same and his tone never changed. It was almost a sad person.

Evan's options are limited when he and Naomi resolve to split. Revisado: 10-11-17
Whatever u do DO NOT get this so-called book. It’s not a thriller it’s a poor version of a Child’s sex story. The writer uses words like he’s a teenage boy
It makes no sense. Just don’t waste ur time or money and the narrator sounds robotic

Somebody’s gunning for Josh Michaels. They must be. There’s no other reason why a stranger would run him off the road, taunt him with a “thumbs-down”, and leave him to die. Josh may have made some messy mistakes in the past, but who’s suddenly decided that he’s worth more dead than alive? As more and more near-fatal accidents befall him, there can be no denying it: he’s got a bull’s-eye on his back. But why? Is it revenge? Mistaken identity? Or is it something far more insidious?

Historia
Lena Gamble is an LAPD cop held in disgrace by department higher-ups for the explosive way her last case played out, though she's still hailed as a hero by her colleagues for catching the killer. For her punishment, she hasn't handled a real murder investigation in eight months. When the chief finally tosses her a case, she's thrilled until she gets a look at the scene and realizes he's probably setting her up to be exiled once and for all: the victim is unidentified, and there are no witnesses, and no leads.

Lost witness
Revisado: 05-08-17
I have to say then ending was really good. The story lost my interest a few times. It's strange how Lena would be smart about some things and then sorta dumb on others for a cop. One thing I thought would be nice was inserting Mathew jones since she came from that story. Everything was the same where Matt was I think it was a different chief tho. Could be wrong. The reader sounds real robotic and that kinda bothered me but, I did enjoy the story on to the next

I have to say this one is really boring. This is the second time I'm going through this series I hadn't put a review the first time. The narrator was very slow I know it's the same person that did all the books. Some I enjoyed but this one is just slow. I can't put my finger on it
