Historia
Forest bathing is a gentle, meditative practice of connecting with nature. Simply being present with all of our senses, in a forest or other wild area, can produce mental, emotional, and physical health benefits. It is a simple, accessible antidote to our nature-starved lives and can inspire us to become advocates for healing our relationships with the more-than-human world. This book is both an invitation to take up the practice of forest bathing and an inspiration to connect with nature as a way to help heal both the planet and humanity.

Historia
Cath is a Simon Snow fan. Okay, the whole world is a Simon Snow fan, but for Cath, being a fan is her life - and she's really good at it. She and her twin sister, Wren, ensconced themselves in the Simon Snow Series when they were just kids; it's what got them through their mother leaving. Reading. Rereading. Hanging out in Simon Snow forums, writing Simon Snow fan fiction, dressing up like the characters for every movie premiere. Cath's sister has mostly grown away from fandom, but Cath can't let go.

Nostalgic, Cozy
Revisado: 12-10-20
This beautifully written and eloquently narrated story made me feel very nostalgic for both my middle and high school days writing and reading fanfictions with my friends, and for my college days which were, in some ways, quite similar to Cath's. I'd definitely call it a "cozy" read, one that didn't drag my heart around or make me tense or angry. It was a beautiful and relatable story for my generation.

Historia
Zoe Lake is heading off to college - and she's excited. It's not a regular college, though. It's a magical college full of vampires, werewolves, ghosts, witches, sphinxes - and pretty much everything else you can imagine. Despite the monsters, it's often human nature that threatens her life most.

Plot and narrator are good
Revisado: 12-09-20
The story is pretty decent but the characters, writing, and dialogue can be a little off-putting as they are rife with clichés and unrealistic personalities, and full of slut-shaming and a lot of misogynistic remarks and stereotyping.

Historia
Marcella has stumbled into puberty. She’s grown too old to play with toys but is still too young for boys. Songs, Christianity, and curiosity at her changing body fill her time. She practices the piano, talks to her God and, alone in her bedroom, she explores. Then she finds out there's a name for what she does, that it's a bad thing to do, and that God prohibits it, even though it feels so delightful.

Narration was great. I just feel like the book ended sort of abruptly. Overall not bad though.
