Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

Good Listen for the most part
Revisado: 09-06-18
this book was better than recent books that I've listened to. Kept my interest up until the end which disappointed me as like most books nowadays. It seems like the author's get bored and just want to finish. The characters were unique and the performance was good. I think there was some story that still could have been told. All in all I do recommend this book.

Pleasent Read
Revisado: 02-12-13
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
Being a widow myself at a young age I was very surprised at the many similarities Rocky and I shared after the death of our husbands. Either the author has suffered the loss of a spouse or did some very good research with other widows. It was very uncanny to listen to experiences that I thought only I endured after the loss of my husband. Very insightful.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
I would wait until it came out on DVD
Any additional comments?
While the storyline and performance was "OK" I couldn't help from liking this book and hoping that Rocky would cross that bridge of grief and begin new adventures. What better way than with the love of a dog. I know, I now have three wonderful four legged companions!

Historia
Born in the slums of Brooklyn, in the first year of the 20th century, Willie Sutton came of age at a time when banks were out of control. If they weren’t taking brazen risks, they were shamelessly seeking bailouts. Trapped in a cycle of bank panics, depressions and soaring unemployment, Sutton saw only one way out. So began the career of America’s most successful bank robber. Sutton became so good at breaking into banks, and such a master at breaking out of prisons, police called him one of the most dangerous men.

Kept Me Interested
Revisado: 12-06-12
Would you listen to Sutton again? Why?
Probably not. I usually do not listen to books twice. This book was good but not a page turner.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Sutton?
The realization that what we remember is not always the truth.
Have you listened to any of Dylan Baker’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I don't know if I have or not. I do not play close attention to the performers names but after this book I will because he was so good.
If you could rename Sutton, what would you call it?
"A Lonely Man"
Any additional comments?
I really enjoyed that this book was based on a true character in history. Made me curious enough to Google Willie Sutton.

A dog lover's must read.......
Revisado: 04-27-12
Where does A Dog's Purpose rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
The top ten.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I cried quite a few times and also laughed at the insight this dog had about his humans.
Any additional comments?
Good thing I was "listening" and not reading this one. I could not of seen the print through the tears. When Bailey took his last trip to the vet I had to turn my IPOD off because I knew what was coming and knew that I was going to relive my recent experience to help my precious German Shepard "Nine" move on to his next life. Through the tears I turned the story back on and so glad I did. Although sad, Bailey's transition gave me insight to "A Dogs Purpose" and am so glad I made that decision for my dear friend. I look at my sweet little Yorkies now in a whole different way and am always wondering what they are thinking of my moods, commands and actions. We have become even better friends now that I have read this book.

In pitch-perfect voices, Kathryn Stockett creates three extraordinary women whose determination to start a movement of their own forever changes a town, and the way women—mothers, daughters, caregivers, friends—view one another. A deeply moving novel filled with poignancy, humor, and hope, The Help is a timeless and universal story about the lines we abide by, and the ones we don't.
