Historia
This is the second series of one-off comedies written by the genius behind the smash-hit radio sitcom Cabin Pressure - John Finnemore. The first series won the coveted Writers Guild of Great Britain award for Best Comedy. Each show is a comedy perfumed by just two actors - including (across the series) famous household names such as Martin Clunes ( Doc Martin), Julia McKenzie ( Fresh Fields) and the inimitable voice of Carolyn in Cabin Pressure, Stephanie Cole.

John Finnemore is an international treasure!
Revisado: 10-30-17
I've loved all of his material that's available on Audible. Cabin Pressure is brilliant! Souvenir Programme is hilarious! And his new show Double Acts is fantastic!
While not a true comedy program, Double Acts series one featured an awesome cast and brilliant writing. This series 2 is no exception. Once again the cast for each story are all great and Finnemore's writing is as amazing as ever. Each story is different, but they are all supremely entertaining.
I really hope that John Finnemore writes a series 3 for Double Acts and continues creating more series for the Souvenir Programme as well. And that they will be available on Audible!

Interesting Concept
Revisado: 05-01-17
The idea is interesting and the narration is great, but I wasn't satisfied with the execution of the concept. I felt no connection with the characters, but hopefully that changes with the other books. More details about the earth event, characters, & the evolutions would have been nice to hook me in more. The worst thing, which may be better in print format, was the seemingly endless list of acronyms. It was irritating where it felt like every other sentence had a new acronym. I'm not sure if I'll continue with the series, but for a short story it was a decent effort!

Great debut novel!
Revisado: 02-21-17
Lately I've been trying to listen to several new audiobooks, but I eventually gave up on them due to poor narration or uninteresting plots. Thankfully, this didn't happen with Lurk!
I was hooked fairly early on and I enjoyed Drew's journey. It was nice to have the main character someone you may not necessarily like or enjoy, but his motivations and thought processes are well developed. The other core characters were also well written.
Now as a horror novel, is it actually worth it? Well it definitely creeped me out/unnerved me a good number of times. The vivid descriptions help and as an audiobook I think it's even better. Kevin Meyer's creepy as hell laugh/chuckle (you'll know it when you listen) was fantastic for example. Though his range isn't broad (female characters weren't distinct) and sometimes it was hard to figure out which character was speaking, I still enjoyed the narration overall.
I'm looking forward to see what Adam Vine writes next!

Historia
Apocalypse All the Time is post-post-apocalypticism. The apocalypse happens on a weekly (if not daily) basis and Marshall is sick of it. Life is constantly in peril, constantly disrupted, but nothing significant every really happens as a result. It's always handled. Marshall wants out; he wants it all to end. In short, the book explores what about the end times holds such fascination for humanity and what impact such a fascination has on the way we live our lives.

Fun, quirky novel
Revisado: 02-12-17
A very cool premise for a story and it's executed well. Quite a few laughs throughout (the story of the Jews for example) and had a good resolution. I enjoyed the little interludes as well and one in particular had me laughing quite a bit.
Story was good, but I must say that the narration was top notch! This was my first experience with him and I'm keen to check out more of his work.

Zachary Quinto is absolutely awesome in this. I'm eager to see if he narrates more stuff in the future. The story with the cool premise was great. I wouldn't mind at all if more stories are set in this universe.

The colored lights on the snow gave it a holiday appearance, but the dead woman's body in the yard added a grisly touch. How did Ina Bell Patrick die? Who killed her? And why? The dead woman had no direct heirs, so two nephews and a niece stood to inherit. Dr. Laura Morris was left to make all the arrangements, attorney Roger Morris could certainly use the money, and Zack Morris had disappeared two years earlier.

Good short story
Revisado: 11-12-16
Ms. Kelly does a great job with narrating overall, particularly the female parts. The narration of the male characters could've been better - they sounded bored most of the time. The story was a good listen - short, but engrossing!
