Liked the prequel more

I liked the prequel more, this was just slow (even on 1.1x speed) and tough to get through. I also got confused about whether the characters were talking or saying what they were thinking bc it was all done in the same tone of voice (I think this is more an issue of the writing being put into audio format). I really liked the world building and plot. I’d consider reading this instead.

Fun and quick story

Narrator was too monotone and kept putting me to sleep or boring me. Also, it’s hard to tell what is being said as an internal though vs out loud by a character because of the strange writing style. Overall, liked the story line though.

Even for a fantasy novel, this story was just too out there with its twists and turns. It felt like every supernatural cliche was condensed into this book and none of them were fleshed out. That said, it was entertaining but hard to get through.

Overall a fun story

Overall this was a fun story, with a unique premise and good narration. At times, however, the main character seemed a bit whiny and naive, and frustratingly she never sough to educate herself. I liked that it was a new take on werewolf rivalries and packs dynamics that was not totally predictable. The ending (cliffhanger) was a bit flat though. If you enjoy listening to werewolf romances and prophecies being fulfilled then this is a fun read.

This story is thought out with many interesting details and plot twists I wasn’t expecting. For the paranormal genre, it still felt unique and sexy. It was a good length, but still left me wanting more with a fun cliffhanger at the end.
