Historia
Welcome to Ringworld, an intermediate step between Dyson Spheres and planets. The gravitational force created by a rotation on its axis of 770 miles per second means no need for a roof. Walls 1,000 miles high at each rim will let in the sun and prevent much air from escaping. Larry Niven's novel, Ringworld, is the winner of the 1970 Hugo Award for Best Novel, the 1970 Nebula Award for Best Novel, and the 1972 Ditmars, an Australian award for Best International Science Fiction.

A pleasant surprise
Revisado: 10-12-22
I normally avoid "Hard SF" novels because I find them boring, ever since reading Rendezvous with Rama as a teenager. But what a fun ride this was! I especially recommend the audiobook, can't wait to listen to the sequels!

What a fun ride!
Revisado: 06-10-22
This romp through video game history was so informative and so much fun, and I'm not even a big gamer. Super interesting to see the historical interplay between arcade, console, and PC games, and really fun anticipating when my favorite games of the past would enter the story, for example Sim City, Civilization, Doom, and World of Warcraft. The narration is also excellent, recommended!

My favorite audio book of all time (so far)
Revisado: 07-03-18
The perfect combination of usefulness and entertainment. I especially recommend this if you're considering trying meditation or are just starting out like I am. And absolutely spring for the audio book over the print version, Dan's voice adds so much!

Inspiring & Exhaustively Researched (and Long!)
Revisado: 06-20-18
You certainly get your money's worth from this one! My only complaint is that Amy details so many research examples to backup her thesis that, for me at least, it became tiresome. An abridged version would be ideal.

Historia
With the stock market turning into a roller-coaster ride of all-time highs and stomach-churning lows, where does that leave your portfolio? Pretty much back where you started in 2000. Which may be fine for visitors to Six Flags, but for your retirement, savings, and investments, you’d like to actually get somewhere.

Great book, annoying performance
Revisado: 06-08-18
Love everything by Vitally, but the speaker in this audiobook has an extremely annoying inflection at the end of every sentence that really distracts from the content.
