From beginning to end, the storylines were engaging. I love a HEA with drama leading up to the end.

Historia
I fell for William Grayson in a matter of minutes. The connection between us was undeniable, but our timing was off. I was dating someone and by the time I was single again, he was taken. And a year later, when we finally got together, it was clear that we were soul mates. But circumstances out of our control cut our time short.

Emotionally Good
Revisado: 09-15-24
Based on the reviews, I was hesitant about listening to this book due to the expected sadness. I am so glad that I was brave enough to go ahead. This story is so much deeper than the sadness. It highlighted real love, enduring love, living life, health, and so much more. The storyline was very relatable. Like others, I had to stop a few times and get myself together. My take away is that life is short, don’t waste unnecessarily!

Soooo Relatable and Engaging!
Revisado: 08-27-24
This story had quite a few triggers but was really good. Codependency, addiction, low self-esteem, parental abandonment were all covered. Though serious topics, the story wasn’t so sad that it was a tear jerker. However, there were times when I wanted to shake Ne’a and tell her to get her life! I’m not a damsel in distress, but I could use a Zane in my life.

Publicly humiliated, Marisa Banks is blindsided by the news that the man she's been dating for months is married. Being called names she wouldn't wish on anyone in front of a room full of people by her boyfriend's wife is enough to shake her identity to its foundations. In an attempt to rebuild, she makes a few questionable decisions. Asher Blaine is one of them. He's intelligent and sexy, but the pedestal he's got himself up on is unshakeable. Or so he thinks. Marisa asks for the one thing he can't deny her, even if it's the craziest thing he's ever done.

Great story!
Revisado: 08-22-24
From beginning to end, the storyline was great. There was the right amount of drama, humor, and romance. The only reason for 4 stars for the performance is that the female character’s voice didn’t fit the story and the voice used for other characters (especially males) was annoying.

Historia
For Nalani Stark, legacy matters… maybe more than most things. Important enough that when that legacy — inextricably tied to her mother’s memory - is challenged, she’s forced to consider even the most undesirable options… Such as a match made in hell with Orion Sterling. The heir to the competitor she grew up being warned about. Orion is a man well-accustomed to getting exactly what he wants. Other than opportunities to grow the family business, he’s moved by very few things.

Such a Real Storyline
Revisado: 04-04-24
I loved how this book addressed mental illness and the negative stigma that comes with it. I also love how the storyline showed how the power of love, knowledge, compassion, and understanding are keys to overcoming the challenges that mental illness often present. This book had the perfect balance of drama, romance, relatability, and excitement!

Yonas “Nas” Kadir is a man of few words. He has learned the art of never showing his hand, which is a valued asset for a man who balances his life between dark and light. There’s not much he desires that isn’t as good as promised to him, which is why Dae Richardson can fight the attraction but will ultimately fall for his good looks and undeniable charm, or so he hopes.

OMG!
Revisado: 03-15-24
This book had me on an emotional rollercoaster, and the narrator did her thing!!!! The combined storylines of Ethic + Alani and Morgan + her men was masterfully written. There is enough drama packed into both Ethic and Butterfly to make an awesome Netflix or BET+ series following the example of Carl Weber’s Family Business.
As for the storyline, Morgan is a spoiled, entitled brat who gets on my last nerve. I’m rooting for Messiah to get it together. I need to know what Ahmeek is involved with in Las Vegas that will involve Ethic. I am heartbroken that Yara is really ill. That cliffhanger has me completely stunned. I was really pulling for Isa and Aria, but I don’t blame her.
I can’t wait for Butterfly 6!!!!!!!!
