Historia
After nearly two decades in the Washington PR business, Elwood wants to come clean, by exposing the dark underbelly of the very industry that’s made him so successful. The first step is revealing exactly what he’s been up to for the past twenty years—and it isn’t pretty. Elwood has worked for a murderer’s row of questionable clients, including Gaddafi, Assad, and the government of Qatar. In All the Worst Humans, Elwood unveils how the PR business works, and how the truth gets made, spun, and sold to the public—not shying away from the gritty details of his unlikely career.

Having crossed a few of those pathes, I can attest to Elwood’s insight and talent. He’s a terrific arsonist as he puts it. The Qatar Olympics example was wiiiild. Glad he’s putting his talents to use for good now.

True Voice Actors
Revisado: 06-13-24
The cast deserves a digital standing ovation for their work. This is my second time through and they bring human scale emotion to a truly epic saga. Enjoyed almost all of them, but Mustang in particular gave an incredibly nuanced performance that carried all the conflicting emotions her character’s brain would throw into the moment. Incredible.
I see people complain about narrator vs cast but for me it’s not even close. I had a great narrated Red Rising but went back after I figure out the dramatization versions and will own the series that way.

Historia
Darrow is a Red, a member of the lowest caste in the color-coded society of the future. Like his fellow Reds, he works all day, believing that he and his people are making the surface of Mars livable for future generations. Yet he toils willingly, trusting that his blood and sweat will one day result in a better world for his children. But Darrow and his kind have been betrayed. Soon he discovers that humanity reached the surface generations ago. Vast cities and lush wilds spread across the planet. Darrow—and Reds like him—are nothing more than slaves to a decadent ruling class.

Excellent performances and the dramatic adaptation cast really brings the fantastic Brown story to three dimensional, Technicolor vibrancy.

Iron Gold for the Gold
Revisado: 03-08-24
With the emergence of the Republic, Brown gives us the fullest picture yet taking in four different perspectives in interwoven tales. I enjoyed the four narrators very much. Felt their stories illustrate the true vastness of Browns universe. And he truly never ceases to surprise in dramatic turns. Already mourning the end of this trilogy as I’ve once again devoured this one. When Red Rising was recommended to me, she had such a beautiful compliment to the author, “I’m jealous of you getting to go through this for the first time”. I’m trying to remind myself to take it all in. Excellent addition to the series.

Outstanding performance of a gripping story

Man, Pierce Brown doesn’t let you breathe cover to cover. Was really impressed with the cast and the way they brought so much more to the story. Hard to go back to the old non-dramatic adaptations. Spoiled rotten by them :)
