Historia
At first, it looks like a disease. An epidemic that spreads through no known means, driving its victims mad with memories of a life they never lived. But the force that’s sweeping the world is no pathogen. It’s just the first shock wave, unleashed by a stunning discovery - and what’s in jeopardy is not our minds but the very fabric of time itself. In New York City, Detective Barry Sutton is closing in on the truth - and in a remote laboratory, neuroscientist Helena Smith is unaware that she alone holds the key to this mystery...and the tools for fighting back.

Starts well and then gets lost in cliches
Revisado: 01-26-24
Started off really well and then it became a meandering cliche, repetitive and unnecessarily long towards the end. It could’ve ended 2-3 hours earlier.

Historia
Seven Pillars of Wisdom is the autobiographical account of T. E. Lawrence's role in the Arab Revolt against the Turkish Empire. The book is mostly set in the deserts of Arabia with a great deal of time spent marching through them with camels and the telling of the events through Lawrence's eyes.

Impossible to listen to the narrator
Revisado: 09-26-19
I was looking forward to listening to this audiobook and was utterly disappointed. It was mostly due to the narrator's reading cadence and tone which made it impossible for me to engage. Also, turns out that T.E. Lawrence had a very round about way of getting his point across in writing which demands attention to every word to understand what he is trying to say. These two things, when combined were the perfect storm.

Historia
Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney became one of the first people to walk on Mars. Now, he's sure he'll be the first person to die there. After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

Extremely Overrated
Revisado: 04-02-15
The story line was entirely predictable and unoriginal. If you've seen Gravity you will know exactly what I mean. A sad attempt at the end trying to make the story seem larger than it actually was by ramming in a monologue about the endurance and will of the human spirit and the drive to help each other.
Very technical with a lot of specifics about space travel and ships; about 2/3 of the book is about what you would need to know in order to survive in Mars. The main character, Mark Watney, reminded me of guy from high school who sat on the back saying things always trying to be funny (juvenile humor) but wasn't really so I never felt connected to the character.
Supporting characters (NASA and Chinese Government) were very poorly developed and their exchanges were comical... Unfortunately these were the serious parts of the book.
