The perfect conclusion to this wonderful story, and absolutely flawless narration.
Revisado: 02-20-25
I am reeling from the emotional journey of this book. Rebel Witch further solidified my adoration of both Kristen Ciccarelli and Grace Gray and this duology's place as one of my all time favorite stories. Kristen's clean, beautiful writing, the journeys of these incredibly human characters, and the unique world and magic system are perfection. Grace Gray's performance is so incredibly emotive and genuine giving a profound depth and richness to both the story and the characters. Definitely an instant favorite.

Devastated to DNF this last book in the series.
Revisado: 01-31-25
I love Laurie Forest and the other 4 books, but I could not. I NEVER DNF, and listened to over 85% of this just waiting for it to get better but life is too short to struggle through even 5 more hours of this 32 hour book.

Historia
No matter how far she runs, the forest of Edgewood always comes for Emeline Lark. The scent of damp earth curls into her nose when she sings and moss creeps across the stage. It’s as if the woods of her childhood, shrouded in folklore and tall tales, are trying to reclaim her. But Emeline has no patience for silly superstitions.

Kristen Ciccarelli can do no wrong
Revisado: 08-25-24
Kristen Ciccarelli is one of my few auto-buy authors. Her prose is clean and beautiful, her plots are complex and interesting, her characters are people I want to know, and her romance is heartbreakingly poignant every time. The world building and magic system in this was so unique and the layers of plot were perfect. I would read a dishwasher manual if Kristen Ciccarelli wrote it.

Took my breath away
Revisado: 11-02-23
I don't say this lightly... Before I even finished it, this book became my favorite book of all time. Some of the most beautifully written prose I've ever read, characters who feel like they could walk off the page, flaws and all, and a story that feels unique, which is an incredible feat. And what a gift that it is narrated by Julie Whelan, who is a rare talent. This book has my soul.
