The narrator was just not for me. I barely got into the book as I was so turned off by him. With that, I cannot make any comment about the story itself. I had been intrigued by it and may look to get a non audio version to read.

Really do like this series (yeah listened our if order, lol) and this one was no exception. The ONLY complaint I have is that the narrator sounded a bit older than the character of Hannah is.

Enjoyed.....to a point

I enjoyed this series of stories....to a point. The storyline is very creative, characters and narrator very enjoyable. But, and I’d never thought I’d say this......there was just too much sex. Some of it just seemed for the sake of another sexy scene. I have no problem at all with the varieties of sexual encounters (m/f, mmf, mm, mff) though some might I just think there were some parts that do not necessarily add anything to the overall story.

Great first book

I truly enjoyed this one. The weaving of mythology with a great story in the modern world made it great and the narrators made it a really great listen.

Good quick listen. I think I might have enjoyed it a bit more if I had listened to other books in the series, just to have a sense of what came before.

But was terrible sad at the end. As a prequel I look forward to further books.

She is a very pregnant woman in a cruel world where she will be shunned by her own tribe for becoming pregnant by the leader of the tribe who invaded her home and took her. She does fall in love with her captive who seems to have loved her and treated her well. When he is killed, she is on her own. She meets a woman with a similar tale but with a very different experience and outcome. They form a deep friendship over their shared experiences in a very short amount of time. The bulk of this prequel is the relationship that develops between the women and the sacrifice that one makes so the other can survive.

Had a bit of a problem with the female narrator, but his voice is yummy.

Typical “don’t judge a book (or man) by its cover (or his reputation). He is perceived by others as a ruthless man who is possibly a killer. Nothing could be further from the truth as he works to protect the reputation of others at his own expense.

Intrigue, undercover work and Sex

Not a bad listen. She is a secret agent who brings down bag guys. He is a hot, sexy man who happens to have gotten involved in a gang of criminals.

You have to suspend more than a little beliefs to think he will forgive her when she takes him down, but if you can do that you will enjoy it.
