As a creative type who struggles with housework, I'm now practicing regular dish washing and laundry, thanks to this book. Dana is on par with Konmari and Flylady as my favorites for helping messy people to become tidy... In regards to narration, I've observed that people who have natural acting ability or formal acting training make the best narrators, which makes Dana's book exceptional for listening enjoyment.

Historia
The books of the Bible were written at different times by different authors over a period of approximately 1,500 years from around 1400BC through 90AD. The Old Testament was written in Biblical Hebrew excluding the Books written during "the Chaldean captivity" such as Daniel and Ezra which were written in "Biblical Aramaic" during the "Chaldean captivity". Many of the Books of the Old Testament bear the names of the Prophets who authored them. Moses compiled the earlier parts of Genesis and directly authored the remaining portion.

Historia
In 1956, toward the end of Reverend John Ames's life, he begins a letter to his young son, an account of himself and his forebears. Ames is the son of an Iowan preacher and the grandson of a minister who, as a young man in Maine, saw a vision of Christ bound in chains and came west to Kansas to fight for abolition: He "preached men into the Civil War", then, at age 50, became a chaplain in the Union Army, losing his right eye in battle.

My third time listening
Revisado: 11-25-21
After my first listen of Gilead, I watched lectures by the author as well as read some essays she wrote. Robinson wrote fiction, I believe, to illustrate her own view of God and Christianity.... her talent and genius are truly unique.... If anyone finds these stories boring it is because they are very shallow in their doctine and Christian experience... Gilead is an "old people's" book; beata me why they categorize it as "Audible Kids..."

Historia
"My father had more than 50 children." So begins the haunting memoir of Anna LeBaron, daughter of the notorious polygamist and murderer Ervil LeBaron. With her father wanted by the FBI for killing anyone who tried to leave his cult - a radical branch of Mormonism - Anna and her siblings were constantly on the run with the other sister-wives. Often starving and always desperate, the children lived in terror. Even though there were dozens of them together, Anna always felt alone.

Historia
Fumio Sasaki is not an enlightened minimalism expert or organizing guru like Marie Kondo - he's just a regular guy who was stressed out and constantly comparing himself to others, until one day he decided to change his life by saying goodbye to everything he didn't absolutely need. The effects were remarkable: Sasaki gained true freedom, new focus, and a real sense of gratitude for everything around him.

Historia
Harvard Business School professor Mihir Desai, in his last lecture to the graduating Harvard MBA class of 2015, took up the cause of restoring humanity to finance. With incisive wit and irony, his lecture drew upon a rich knowledge of literature, film, history, and philosophy to explain the inner workings of finance in a manner that has never been seen before. This book captures Desai's lucid exploration of the ideas of finance as seen through the unusual prism of the humanities.

Leadership expert Sally Helgesen and best-selling leadership coach Marshall Goldsmith have trained thousands of high achievers - men and women - to reach even greater heights. Again and again, they see that women face specific and different road blocks from men as they advance in the workplace. In fact, the very habits that helped women early in their careers can hinder them as they move up. Simply put, what got you here won't get you there...and you might not even realize your blind spots until it's too late.
