Historia
Documentary filmmaker Alice Lindstedt has been obsessed with the vanishing residents of the old mining town, dubbed “The Lost Village”, since she was a little girl. In 1959, her grandmother’s entire family disappeared in this mysterious tragedy, and ever since, the unanswered questions surrounding the only two people who were left - a woman stoned to death in the town center and an abandoned newborn - have plagued her. She’s gathered a small crew of friends in the remote village to make a film about what really happened.

Super predictable
Revisado: 09-12-21
Very predictable and relies on mental illness to create its villains. Also uses lots of common tropes seen in horror genre. Had a lot of potential and fell short.

Historia
I decided that Orion Lake needed to die after the second time he saved my life. Everyone loves Orion Lake. Everyone else, that is. Far as I’m concerned, he can keep his flashy combat magic to himself. I’m not joining his pack of adoring fans. I don’t need help surviving the Scholomance, even if they do. Forget the hordes of monsters and cursed artifacts; I’m probably the most dangerous thing in the place. Just give me a chance and I’ll level mountains and kill untold millions, making myself the dark queen of the world.

Slow start
Revisado: 01-19-21
It started rather slow and clunky to start. However, once you get the idea of everything going on it starts to get better.

Historia
When Eleanor Harper becomes the director of a renowned artists' retreat, she knows nothing of Cliffside Manor's dark past as a tuberculosis sanatorium, a "waiting room for death". After years of covering murder and violence as a crime reporter, Eleanor hopes that being around artists and writers in this new job will be a peaceful retreat for her as much as for them.

Story okay, narrator difficult to listen to
Revisado: 10-01-20
The story was rather predictable. But overall good. It took me almost half the story to get into it. The narrator is really the reason I think. Her cadence is the same with every sentence and every character which made it difficult to follow at times.

Slow to start but worth it
Revisado: 09-05-20
It was slow to start but definitely worth it in the end. So good! Some of the performances were obnoxious after listening for a while, but overall it was fine. The story more than makes up for it!

Historia
Vermont, 1950. There's a place for the girls whom no one wants - the troublemakers, the illegitimate, the too smart for their own good. It's called Idlewild Hall. And in the small town where it's located, there are rumors that the boarding school is haunted. Four roommates bond over their whispered fears, their budding friendship blossoming - until one of them mysteriously disappears.... Vermont, 2014. As much as she's tried, journalist Fiona Sheridan cannot stop revisiting the events surrounding her older sister's death.

Meh.
Revisado: 03-19-19
The book was “meh.” at best. It never really seemed to pick up or have big plot twists.

Historia
Anna Fox lives alone - a recluse in her New York City home, unable to venture outside. She spends her day drinking wine (maybe too much), watching old movies, recalling happier times...and spying on her neighbors. Then the Russells move into the house across the way: a father, mother, their teenaged son. The perfect family. But when Anna, gazing out her window one night, sees something she shouldn't, her world begins to crumble. And its shocking secrets are laid bare.

Decent story, little slow
Revisado: 06-19-18
It was a little slow, even during the times of intensity. I found the narrator to be whiny and didn’t like how she read most of the story.
