Incredibly edifying

A human being with virtues and defects that really knew the Lord and was powerfully used by him. Although, of course, I don’t always agree with him it has been incredibly edifying and it has come to my life at the right time.

The most important book I have read in a while

This is the most important book I have read in a while. It was used by Christ to bring in a supernatural revelation of the heart of Christ. Powerful, accurate, balanced, transformational.
This one goes to my short collection of books that I need to hear again.

Very practical

Smart, practical and well explained. The only draw back is that he constantly says that he doesn’t want to be involved in politics and then there he goes. It would have been better not to pretend so. Everyone is entitled to their own perspective. For my family the part about the improvements in the immigration system when my daughter has had to wait more than a year for the replacement of a residency card that the government itself lost (and was never delivered to her in spite of her paying extra to safer delivery) sounds hollow.

Great book of spiritual formation

This is a good, practical book on spiritual formation. Although the unnecessary reliance on Thomas Morton’s idea of true/false self with its superficial echoes on panentheism almost led me to abandon the book and confuse it with dangerous branches of the contemplative movement I am glad I persevered. It is full of wisdom and it is much more biblical than I thought it was.

It looks as if someone is writing false reviews. There was no profanity, there was no jumping of the stories, and it is an interesting way to learn and to be exposed to different Brazilian accents.

What to do when teenagers and young adults are already peer oriented? This was touched but not deep enough. But this book is indispensable to parents of young children it will be among my gifts for newborns.

Indispensable

I almost hate to say how indispensable this is at least to know the techniques that are applied to you. I found myself not liking Voss and his aggressive assertive style but also realizing that many things he teaches are well researched and important. He is worse when he is out of his element giving opinions on things he does not now well or when his aggressiveness gets the best out of him,
