Historia
In 2017, a routine network television investigation led to a story only whispered about: one of Hollywood’s most powerful producers was a predator, protected by fear, wealth, and a conspiracy of silence. As Farrow drew closer to the truth, shadowy operatives, from high-priced lawyers to elite war-hardened spies, mounted a secret campaign of intimidation, threatening his career, following his every move, and weaponizing an account of abuse in his own family.

Historia
August 1945. As Stefano, an Italian POW, heads toward home across war-ravaged Germany, he encounters a young child beside his dead mother. Unable to leave him to an unknown fate, Stefano takes the boy with him, finding refuge in a seemingly abandoned house in a secluded woodland. But the house is far from vacant. Stefano wakes at the arrival of its owner, Erich, a former German soldier, who invites the travelers to stay until they can find safe passage home. Stefano cautiously agrees, intrigued by the disarming German, his reclusive neighbor Rosalind, and her traumatized husband.

We listened to this book on a road trip and it keeps you going the whole time. Lots of plot twists. There are a few corny things, but not bad. I really like the book from start to finish. Good characters and descriptions.

In This Book Has Balls, Rapaport uses his signature smack-talk style and in-your-face humor to discuss everything from why LeBron will never be like Mike to how Tiger needs the ladies to get his golf game back and how he once thought Mary Lou Retton was his true love. And, of course, why next year will be the year the New York Knicks win the championship. This book is a series of rants - some controversial, some affectionate, but all incredibly hilarious.

I loved every part of this book, as a woman that loves sports and spends everyday betting the sports book and obsessing over the latest sports news, .... this was a nice change. I listened to this whole book in 2 days, some chapters twice! Absolutely died laughing over the Tiger Woods chapter, Rapaport. Can’t wait for book 2! Love you!!!!!

Could not wait for it to end... boring!
Revisado: 11-09-18
I gave the performance of this book 5 stars because I enjoyed the reader’s voice, however, this book drug on and on... leaving me zoning out much of the time. I rarely give up on a book, but I wish I would have on this one. I go through over 6 audible books a month, and I don’t always leave comment. This is the worst review I’ve ever given a book on audible from the hundreds I’ve purchased over the years... that should say how boring it is. I will say the author is a very talented writer and knows her stuff, but she drug every scene of this story out until I wanted to kill myself. And the climax wasn’t even worth it?!? Kept waiting for some huge reveal, but trust me, it’s not that exciting. I gave the story 2 stars to be nice.

Got better and better! And I rarely leave comments.
Revisado: 11-07-18
I have to admit, I was a little annoyed during the first part of the book because I thought the author was a little too whiny. However, I completely changed my mind as the story progressed and realized Marisa is a very strong and courageous woman. As an avid sport book bettor at offshore casinos for the past several years, I found this book to be not only fascinating, but also very believable. It left me wanting to know what happened next in her life and I was sad when it was over. Highly recommend this read, it gets more and more crazy as the story goes.

Lo Blacklock, a journalist who writes for a travel magazine, has just been given the assignment of a lifetime: a week on a luxury cruise with only a handful of cabins. The sky is clear, the waters calm, and the veneered, select guests jovial as the exclusive cruise ship, the Aurora, begins her voyage in the picturesque North Sea. At first Lo's stay is nothing but pleasant: The cabins are plush, the dinner parties are sparkling, and the guests are elegant. But as the week wears on, frigid winds whip the deck, and gray skies fall.

Good story, little predictable though, but worth reading
Revisado: 10-18-18
I’d recommend this one to any mystery novel fans, but it’s not the most exciting I’ve ever read. I know a lot of people thought this book to be super intense, and it is... at some points. It’s a good story, different, and I rated it well because it does keep your interest and the writing is good. It just wasn’t as exciting as I’d hoped for. Maybe All the hype gave me too high of expectations. However, definitely read it if you’re a fan of mystery novels. It’s worth your time.
