Historia
The story is seen through the eyes of Uhtred, a dispossessed nobleman, who is captured as a child by the Danes and then raised by them so that, by the time the Northmen begin their assault on Wessex, Alfred's kingdom and the last territory in English hands, Uhtred almost thinks of himself as a Dane.

Captivating!
Revisado: 02-29-16
This is an outstanding book and the narrator is excellent. I'm very pleased to have found this series, it is well worth the price. Mr. Keeble was able to capture the persona of each character with tenderness, piety, humor, and brutality. I just finished listening for the second time so I can savor the story. Now i have the first four of this series and will keep collecting...something i can sink my teeth in!!!! Rah

Historia
Matilda Whipplethorn is about to get what she's always wanted, and it's a bad thing. Being a babysitter isn't much of a dream for the average thirteen-year-old, but Matilda is anything but average. She's half a centimeter tall, invisible to the human eye, and hearing-impaired. Her mother won't let her forget any of that. So for Matilda, adventures are in short supply. Finally agreeing to let Matilda take some responsibility, her mother gives her a list of emergency procedures for babysitting.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Content is more for young children.
Would you ever listen to anything by A. W. Hartoin again?
No
What didn’t you like about Aris’s performance?
Nothing was wrong with the performance. It was just very childish.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
There are loyalty morals that could benefit a child, plus the vast differences with the "families" could be lessons in cultural tolerance.
Any additional comments?
Did I miss something? This book is for children.
