The Denver Post hails Craig Johnson's Walt Longmire mystery series as a must-read. Joining the four previous novels - all of which have been Book Sense picks - The Dark Horse puts a unique Wyoming twist on the classic British village mystery. When Longmire meets a woman jailed for her husband's death, he travels outside his usual haunts to discover the truth behind this unusual murder case.

Love it!
Revisado: 10-12-24
The Longmire series is one of my top three favorites. I consistently listen to audio recordings, and this narrator is exceptional at bringing to life all the characters in each of Mr. Johnson’s novels. I am easily immersed into each scenario, each event, and each emotion. Well done, Mr. Johnson!

Good action packed adventure
Revisado: 09-05-24
It started out a little slow, but laying the groundwork for this story and the rest of the series is understandable here. The narration seemed a bit too theatrical at times, reminding me of an old time radio broadcast, but still well done. I found myself rooting for the protagonists and did enjoy the story.

I really enjoy this whole series!
Revisado: 02-15-23
This book really carries the story forward, and explores the back-story of their relationship. I revisit this series every couple of years because it’s such a great story! Wish the narrator was the same as the first three, or at the very least that he would have listened to some part of the Ava/Malachi books to keep pronunciations consistent.

Ha! Another satisfying read by C.J. Box!
Revisado: 12-01-22
At first I was not keen on the narration, which seemed dull and uninspiring. But that got much better as the story expanded and the different characters came into play. The story itself is genius and prompts me to re-read the Cassie Dewell books.

Another great story!
Revisado: 03-11-17
I don't know how Rollins manages to take completely unrelated topics and weave them into realistic and relevant plots. The characters are engaging and believable. Don't know why this book did not have the "What's real and what's not" addendum at the end, hence the four stars for story. Maybe that was just this particular Audible production, but I really missed it. Great narrator!
